This movie won an oscar for visual effects... its by the record to this day the best spiderman film ever made.. tobey maguires portrayl of spiderman and peter parker is the best . In these films spiderman is self made and has a decent story... in the mcu spiderman is cool and all but he lives in the shadow of iron man and even his suit is made by tony... im sure sam raimi will do a hell of a job with the multiverse of madness

thats right he's directing that, but I'm still afraid they won't give him the creative freedom he usually has. the marvel films all follow a strict set of rules, they're all the same film, the director matters very little, raimi is a great choice but I'm still worried it'll go to waste as they will likely force him out of his directing voice so the film fits better with the others stylistically

We're more used to it now, but this was the first time we ever saw a hero and villain fight like that in a superhero film. It was, up to this point, simple punches and kicks at best, even with Green Goblin in the last film. This was the first time we accurately saw this type of fight that looked straight from the comics, it's a big reason this film is still held in such high regard.

It also felt so damn REWARDING. People forget that this fight takes place after nearly 40 minutes of character study. By the time this fight happens, Peter has gone from rejecting Spider-Man, trying to get his life together, admitting his guilt to Aunt May, proving his desire to change to MJ, and then realizing that the city needs Spider-Man. After ALL of that pathos and growth, this incredible fight hits like a ton of bricks. It's actually an incredible example of great pacing in film. Not every moment needs to be action packed. Make your audience give a shit by slowing down and then reward them once their guard is down.

Gotta say you did some clever editing by making the audience sound somewhat vintage but I knew I heard the cheers in the actual Audience Reactions videos. Specifically you slipped up at 2:26 when you hear the girl from AR’s videos say “It’s Peter Dinklage!” which she says in the Infinity War video when they show Eitri for the first time. You were close though. Very clever.

I love these older movie theater reactions. This was at a time when there were no smart phones and the phones that did have video cameras had horrible quality. So you would have to sneak a camcorder into the theater instead. Reactions like these are rare which is what makes them fun to watch.
