Spin Only Option on LG Front Load Washer Model# WD100C-Date: 11/15/2020

I used the spin only option after doing some fleece blankets to ring them out a little bit more. This is in real time. To use this option, turn on the washer and touch and hold the spin selector button for 3 seconds. It doesn't matter what cycle the knob is set to. It gives you a 13 minute spin on high speed and 11 minutes on medium and low speed.
It is useful if you use one of the other cycles that have a really short final spin cycle such as the "Bedding" cycle that only spins for 4 minutes as an example. Sometimes you might want to spin the load again. It can also be useful if you spilled a bunch of water and soaked it up with towels or if maybe you got drenched in a rain storm so you can ring them out really well.
Remember, it is cheaper to run an extra spin on the washer than it is to run a longer drying cycle in the dryer. Especially if you have an electric dryer.

Thanks Kevin! Have the same washer and was calling LG because I believed the drum/bearings had come loose/off. They said to run spin only cycle and needed something to compare to and remembered I saw your videos before I made the purchase. Thanks again!!!

Thank you, Kevin! That’s so helpful! I have an LG Direct Drive top loading model. The control panel is nearly identical, so I tried this. Voilà! It works like a charm! I printed the directions and posted them above the washer… because the LG instruction manual doesn’t mention this. Why not?! Because it’s so obvious? Well, I’m here because it’s NOT obvious. 🟢Spin Only Function Turn on Power. Hold down Spin/*Spin only (on black control panel on bottom line) for 3-5 seconds. Select spin speed by just tapping spin button again until desired speed is reached. (Low to extra high) Press the Start button ⏯️
