Huh, are you braking in these? My Saxo is also very tail happy. But if you mash the accelerator it'll just pull out. Gotta be really wild to actually spin it. Tho I can't say I haven't done it :P

Thanks for commenting. In some of these 'moments', I was experimenting with setup and tyres. The biggest factor was when I tried different tyres front-to-rear. Relatively high-grip front tyres with low-grip rears became very unstable during tip-in on corner exit, where it felt like the diff would lock, load the outside rear and loop the car. The spin in the banked RH corner at Anglesey is a good example of that, with minimal provocation. Even after I fitted the soft tyres all around (which made it much more forgiving), I had to learn to quickly get back to maintenance throttle after braking, to load up the diff and avoid a sudden event on the exit! Some of the others culprits are cold rears (since most are during standing-start sprint events) or at Blyton for example, excess trail braking and a slight O/S balance at medium & high speed corners.
