I have a few things to point out in the trailer, just a few theories. (THEORIES) 1. It looks like the city Spiral takes place in is an entirely new place 2.Chris Rock points out that this new Jigsaw is targeting cops. Lots say it’s Logan from Jigsaw but I highly doubt it because his motive was to get revenge on the cops who let a man free who killed his wife. 3. There is definitely going to be a new Jigsaw, I’m hoping it will be like a plot twist more reminiscent to SAW 3D ending because an old character was actually jigsaw but this time it will be a new character who was jigsaw all along. 4.Samuel Jackson was walking through a tunnel with a flashlight and he was shining at someone, but it’s probably a dummy. Anyone notice the shadow is short? What if he’s shining a light at a mural or something like that, so it could waste his time. 5. (Connected to 4) What if Samuel Jackson had a time limit? Because I don’t think a trap would be sitting at a mural because murals are very easy to see afar. Plus Chris rock at the end was handcuffed, and Chris plays the son of Samuel Jackson and there was a consequence if a time limit runs out. But obviously I’m guessing there will be a lot of victims for Samuel Jackson to encounter. 6. I notice the train tunnel in the trailer was shown a lot, but one scene it shows possibly a guy getting hit by a train but then Samuel Jackson exploring an abandoned one, another theory is that Chris and Samuel timeline is different. 7. At the end with that guy supposedly with a bear trap was actually wearing one but with upgrades and the challenge is different, because the one with Amanda she had to kill someone. But this one looks like a pull your fingers off kinda scenario. My guess is the jigsaw found a book written by John Kramer like a notebook and added some touches to traps he used or didn’t use. Those are my theories reply for any more!

Every Saw movie including Spiral takes place in the same city New York but it’s called Metropolitan city but the movies since Saw 2 including Spiral were filmed in Toronto so it takes place in the same city and the tunnel looked like a copy of the subway tunnel as the puppet is facing a wall because you can see the shadow reflection I’m not sure about timelines but there will be flashback scenes but Samuel and Rocks characters are in the same timeline the plot twist will be something else I’m guessing but Idk that’s what I observed and know

People are surprised by his age because we thought he started acting seriously from a young age like Eddie Murphy, Will Smith, Denzel etc. He was mid 40's when pulp fiction was filmed and that was almost 30 years ago. Then don't forget earlier films like Coming to America 1988, Eddie Murphy wasn't even 30 yet who starred in hits like Beverly Hills Cop, Trading Places and 48 hours as far back as 82 yet Eddie's only 58.
