Woah, this game seems to be going places. Definitely keeping a close eye on it now. I also really like the aesthetic. A cute, cuddly look but the combat remains visceral and brutal. It sets the tone perfectly. A beautiful world, yet not without violence, far from perfect. It encapsulates the light and dark just right. Hope the game won't shy away from some very tense and gruesome moments.

I remember trying the demo after the first time you showed it off, tons of fun. It's so cool to see the game progress and think of neat QoL features that smooths the tedious and lets you enjoy the story or the beauty of the environment as a whole.

22:25 My guess is that you need to sort and place the boxes from lightest to heaviest (in direction of arrows) using the scales to figure out which is lighter.

You have to love Splatt. Explains that you have a hook that you can use to move around, to smash things and for combat. Promptly forgets hook and uses guns to smash the loot boxes. Wonders why he is forced to use pistol :P Smash with the hook! Smash with the hook!

This box mod is designed to enhance your weapons, plus you have hearts above the hp bar and if they run out you go back to the last bed you slept in. In addition you can use a hook for an meel attack and there is also a back stab and special abilities for which crystals are used. In addition, enemies sometimes drop ammunition so that the pistol is not used so much.

There's a skill that allows you to hookshot pirates in the back for auto kills. I love it. I think you can also use Luma to teleport back to your ship if it blows away or something.

I had a LOT of fun with this game. I did find I got to a stage where I was OP in relation to some stuff, but completely the wrong side of the curve to travel to some of the new areas. But this was after about 20 hours solid and the game IS in early access, so I can't hate it too badly. Good game. Worth the current price.

The Twisted Assault Rifle actually bends bullets the 'sights' are so wonky. I think in some situations you can use it to shoot around corners but... never used it. Also note that your character is also a brutal mass murderer who likes to kill by shooting a grappling hook into her victims backs and a people smuggler... Just saying :D (edit - Splatt shows the assault rifle firing sideways... Guess that is what happens when you try and make comments before the vid is over... I *THINK* it actually does massive amounts of damage, just you have enough weapons that do medium amounts of damage and are much easier to aim.)

It only bends at about half the screen length so it's still not bad. ANd if you can adjust for it, it's probably still solid as an early game weapon.

I remember playing this awhile ago and there's this weird shift in tone. The art is almost chipper, the main character looks happy and hopeful but the game itself is pretty grim and the main character actually looks dead inside lol.

Loved this game when I played it after the recent update, but I think I'll take your advice and leave it alone for 1.0, because I also ruined Subnautica and BZ, by playing through the updates. Also, the 4 weights puzzle, it's heaviest to lightest, or was it lightest to heaviest. I think there's a tone or a light to show you if it's in the right place, use the scales to compare the weights and find the heaviest to lightest...It's been a while, but I remember that once I had the first one, it was always the same. Some good stuff from it, IIRC.

Played this game ages ago and all I remember about it is how seriously annoying the "capture island" mechanic is. You'd capture 1 island and boom suddenly another island has been taken again by pirates....

I really enjoyed the game. although the maps (or Maybe just the camera proximity) feels small and somewhat cramped for a shooting game (Especially for Guns like the carbines) i was enjoying it very much. I only stopped because the game crashed once and i lost all progress. After that i didnt feel like going around picking up ALL the tiny boxes of resources just so i could get to the point i was before so i gave up...

One of the reviews on Steam mentions that when they lost their save, the devs were willing to help build a new one to catch them back up. Mayhaps that could work for you, if you reached out?

@@dmdizzy nah. Its something that happens during the test phase. If they get the information that it happened and are correcting it its all good for me ( although im pleasantly surprised that the devs were that approachable). Besides... I tend to agree with splatty and i dont wanna go so far into the game that it wont be fun once it reaches 1.0. I'll just probably get to the game again once it gets to its full release in a new save.
