DO NOT SHOOT THE PANTHER WITH A STAR ON THE SIDE AND BACK OF THE TURRET" and got tk'd anyway. He was in the next match too (there are only like 100 sim players at a time) and actually got kills

Yep, perfect description of the German teams. I've had such a great match once, literally just walked around map like the one man army ghost division, Tiger H1 tank racking up kills meanwhile my team was like: "hans, get ze tanks in line so enemy planes can get us all with one bomb!"

I have to say, even though i dont play WT anymore, im 100% certain its the crews stats that make the difference between everyone in the turret getting killed upon penetration vs everyone going yellow/orange. Boost your crews health, kids. It really helps.

The panther: 190 mm pen, 100m turret and 80mm front hull angled at 55 degrees Every other medium tank at this BR: 100-150mm of pen, ~50-100 mm of unangled armor. Not to mention the Germans get 4 of them.

I miss the day when 75/46 still at 4.3...it rekt T-34s and KVs so easily... It was the first tank I bought tailsman for Italy tanks、also the 75/34 are still good against downtiers, but idk why 90% of my game at 75/34 are all 4.3 games, the 75/34 are is not a good at full uptier...

damage of ap shells is determined by how much left over penetration you have after successful penetration. For some reason this also applies to the filler in APHE, its not calculated separately. So you can do basically no damage with the fusing of the shell after barely penetrating the tanks armour that is assuming the shell fuses at all because sometimes it just doesn't fuse.

That's not how it works in game, but it should be. Unless the entire round enters the tank, the burster charge isn't going to matter, and that would only occur in situations of severe overmatch (like an 88 through a Sherman maybe). APHE shouldn't be noticeably better than AP on anything except bunkers (as was largely the case in the real world - see why the US stopped producing APHE postwar)

Bought the Dauphine today. Got eight kills with it in my second battle, the enemy was only Germany and Italy. Great buy; every time I ran into a Panther they’d have a moment of hesitation and we’d stare at each other like the Spider-Man meme. Thank you Spookston for the rec 🙏 the most kills I’ve ever gotten with a single tank at that BR, and the only time I’ve ever survived a battle with one tank and won the match as well.

You gotta try the KV-122. It's just an IS-2 that's a bit slower but at 5.7 instead of 6.3-6.7

Its MUCH slower, and has very thin armor in the hull. So IS-2 has 6.0 and its a heavy or even fat medium with 122mm. While KV-122 is pretty much a turreted TD at 5.3. Doesnt mean its bad but its not much stronger than IS-2.

Playing Germany at 5.3-6.0 feels like cheating but your simultaneously somehow losing. Your armor is insane your gun is even better your relatively fast with decent gun depression and to top it all off your opponents are mostly in Sherman’s and t-34s (decent numbers of IS tanks mixed in plus some open top US TDs) I felt like I was a completely unstoppable monster only to look up and realize everyone is dead we have no caps except the one I am holding and we have 15 tanks in our spawn

Spookston may I suggest you playing the BT-7A (F-32)? It's an event vehicle you dont rarely see often. It's a fun BT 7 tank with the 76mm cannon from the KV1 E and the best part of the tank. It has -6 degree of gun depression.

@@superburrito9797 The 37L is definitely a blast, one of the few things that made tier 1 bearable. I’ve never tried it any higher than 4.7 though. Wouldn’t be surprised if it did ok, but I imagine you have to play a heck of a lot more carefully.

I enjoy my Panther Dauphine ^^ The only real drawback until very recently (when the m36 got added) was the rest of your line up is 5.3 unless you have all those event vehicles.

For the engine issue, I'd recommend lowering or turning off you engine sounds and turning up the enemies, helps me as I don't get confused between if its an enemy or me.

There is one thing I like you to try out. It's the ISU-152. It has a high penetrating HEAT round which in fact, can pen the UFP of a Tiger II. This tank destroyer can melt any tank at it's BR. It also has a handy 50 cal which can kill any light targets like M18's

You should play the British tier 2 Sarc MKVI 6Pdr. It is very fast ( I call it the Super Awesome Race Car ). It has the British 6 pounder and is very good for 3.3. It goes by no armor best armor and if you get shot in the turret you die no matter what ( 3 crew, 2 in turret). It’s got a .50 cal on top for AA and shredding milk trucks. It’s funny because it recoils a ton, and no matter what will land on its wheels probably to counter the recoil. I also think that the crusader II is fun. It’s I think 2.0ish and is super fast, good fun and I believe ( in a British tank) APHE. it is great for capping points, running along the sides and flanking the enemy. Day 5

Based on recent experiences I don't think the problem is Spookston's Panther having low damage, I swear they just made German crewmen really tough. Just earlier I put a 20 pounder APCBC round through the front of a panther and his machine gunner caught it and stopped all further damage!
