Brown, Janmark and Henrique could really pile up the short-handed goals if there were more power play opportunities by the other team. The league doesn't call as many power plays any more. It's a different league now.

Was a great way to head into the holiday break!! Stu was excellent and probably should have had a shutout if not for Bouchard's ridiculous giveaway, and Arvidsson looked good filling in on the McDavid line!! Power play needs to stop with the endless passing and just shoot it, and this team still needs an upgrade on defence, but those are the only criticisms I have for what was otherwise a well-played game! Merry Christmas, everybody!! LET'S GO OILERS!!!!

@@bilalgill6722 cheers...being a very good goalie, his only drawback is that his body is prone to minor ailments like this. In the 22-23 playoff series against A strong Florida team, he was played with this same ailment, instead of Boston continuing the goaltender rotation. BTW...what injury does Anton Forsberg have? He is missed in the nets!!

For the first time in years, the Oilers are finally learning what it means to win through various kinds of pain. If they can continue this way, I seriously doubt anyone can beat them. I was looking at the statistics the other day from their 1987-88 playoff run and how consistent their top scorers were - Gretzky, Kurri, Messier and Anderson - and then it dawned on me. If these Oilers can get say one goal every game or maybe every other game from Hyman or Draisaitl, they can win it all. The scoring needs to be spread around. They need to get home ice advantage in at least 2 of 4 playoff rounds. Last year they beat Vancouver and Dallas without having home ice, lost to Florida without having home ice. So they won 2 series. That's 2 out of 4. So if they play only 2 starting on the road, they should be able to do it. There are those that will say, well they didn't beat Vegas or Colorado. True but to me it seems that beating either one of them will be easier if they get the home ice. What do you guys think ?
