I finally had the chance to show your videos my elderly father yesterday! He absolutely loved them. (I did have to fast forward for him a few times… he was getting anxious to see the final products. Lol). We sat and talked about everything he saw for hours. He didn’t know anything about Designer Epoxy so I told him what I’ve learned and tried to look up things he asked. It was an amazing day. A pressure pot can increase the temperature in the resin, not always the case it is a factor. a vacuum chamber causes the resin to have a lower boiling temperature but helps with penetration. I think the minor cracks are because the wood acted as an thermal insulator holding the heat at that point while the open thick resin area just moved it out to the shop temperature. This is from my experience anyway. also i would suggest checking out rusty design and their slowq epoxy - never had any issue when i switched over to them and its made in Ontario (or so they say)

The last one (vase with very old black walnut and no pigment just hyper stuff) is beautiful ! I would like to buy it. I'm an artist also. Hi 👋, Jim, Mellow Yellow That’s Right, Donovan, haven’t heard him for many years, as per usual, a great looking piece of art, just a shame no Kintsugi, I was really looking forward to that, 😂, I think, as you said, the resin wasn’t up to room temperature when you started to pour it, Then obviously put into the pressure chamber probably even gave it more insulation as the pressure pot would’ve been cold as well, please, Jim, Jim, please do some KINTSUGI, though, you might not of seen it very well as the vase was yellow, probably needed to be a blue green or something like that to highlight the Gold in the thermal cracking , as per usual, even with voice over, it wouldn’t be the same , I don’t think I can sit here for an hour, just watching a blank video with no comments, extant territorial, stay calm and Safe, 😂, Phil from the moulin.

DESIGNER EPOXY: Don't you dare listen to the nay sayers, your voice overs are the reason I like your channel, keep them up. Plus I like the play by play of what you are doing. I just drove a 1000 miles to pick up an old Powermatic 90 lathe. I worked on one years ago and really liked how sturdy it was. Of course I did pick something else up while there that was a large fork lift for my business. I learn by watching and doing. I just came upon your channel this week. I say, keep your voiceovers. It provides information of what you're doing and why. Your explaining your work makes it even more interesting. I almost want to learn woodturning. I knew of woodturning but was never interested until watching a few of your videos (I basically binge-watched several of your videos back to back). Watching, has made me value the work and skill behind woodturning.
