Sounds like there's no payoff for patience with the first demo blend....kind of expensive for a nice tin. I hope to find a product with a better adjective than smokable...thanks for the heads up on these. Perhaps the tins will be sold empty, on a second hand site. Thanks though for the recommendation on the Dragons blend. And glad to see you again!

“We all know opening the tin and getting the first whiff is excitement on its own- and just packing the pipe you get that I don’t know that mouthwatering moment” 👍👍👍 I always try to lower temperature and fight my way thru to the Peaches. I’m always going for the Peaches man and that’s just how I like it” 🍊🍊🙋♀️

Your review of that first tobacco was brutal...I loved it! The second review redeemed you. Its interesting that the warning smoking is deadly on German tins and here in the US a rather more gentle nicotine is an addictive chemical.

Ahh yes nothing like that time proven easter and spring flavor of burning rubber and medicine! LMAO. Have to say thank u as always for a truly enjoyable and entertaining not to mention honest review video! Disappointing to hear that the blends were not so good this year but you left me excited as a have a tin of Dragon blend that I've been waiting to open and now seems like a good time. Best wishes.

Well the tins are very nice and your drink looks good but.... I am not one for heavy "topped" or cased tobaccos. I appreciate your reviews and thanks for sharing. I am looking forward to spring too.

Hello Mark, Glad I found your channel. It was recommended by Cass Piper Cassidy and he was so right. You tell it like it is, and I for one really appreciate your honesty. You are hilarious. I won't waste my money but fortunately I can't get it in Canada so I won't even be tempted. I'm a new subscriber as of today. Cheers, Jim 🤣 (For my friends in Japan. I recommend all the channels I like and translate for them).

Thanks for your honest appraisal my dear Mark 😊👍👍 Those seasonal blends….always….have great mouthwatering descriptions and potpourri tin notes but too often have completely different and less nice and…always…weaker flavors. There are a few notable exceptions over the years thats true….but I have given up buying them as I have too many jars of past years. I hope some of them may get better with a little jar age perhaps.

Thanks for the video Mark! About the worst tobacco you ever reviewed I think the Vauen 170 anniversary is still the winner, with rosemary and aftershave lotion, beats the rubbery Easter Egg, that one is not only horrible but also ghost your pipe for almost a month or so. Thanks for your honest reviews. Tchus
@casspipercassidy42972 жыл бұрын
Jesus that’s a lot of euro to be paying for the grand taste experience, burned rubber and medicine ! Lmao. It’s hard to find good aromatics , one I tried recently and enjoyed was sir Walter Raleigh aromatic. It has some sort of French liquor topping, and the tobacco it still clearly coming through in the flavour profile. This video was very funny ! Seeing your frustrations and warning the viewers! Thanks

Hola Mark, thanks so much for your very honest opinion and warning. I actually wanted to have both tobaccos to me by a friend who will soon be visiting us from Germany. I'd rather spend the money on better tobacco. For example ten Dragon. I like the Flake and if the mixture is in the same conditions I will probably have it. I send you some warm spring sun from the 🌞🏝🐋. Best wishes. Michael

Hello Mark, great video, it just popped on on my computer while I was working on my Spanish course - nice break. I am very interested in Kohlhase and Kopp"s tobaccos. I drove up to Calgary and bought some of their tobacco from Zigarren. I love their Dunhill blending, right now I am smoking their Legend Maritime Morning, a replacement for Dunhill's Early Morning Pipe. John
@socalpipester2 жыл бұрын
Hi John. I just read your comment about Legend Maritime Morning. Yeah, I also loved what were Brigham pipe company blends while they were available in the States. They provided some of my favorites. I haven't been able to determine if those blends actually are still available here but under a different K&K label. Happy smoking. Scott

Hey Mark, that was a funny video. Too sad, no Easter-Tobbaco for me this year. No Planta, that really hurts. Since Kohlhase doesn't hits my taste for a few month, the Planta was my last hope for the bunny. I like it to be honest. If a product is bad, then you have to say it. I repeat myself, very funny and good video. Thanks for that. Have a nice easter. Andreas

Hello Mark, Great videos you make. Your videos show how wisely we should see and live in the nature where we was born, and how the smoking of pipes teach us to thinking of our being, environment and world. One question: are you using only those meerschaum pipes which has 9mm filter, or using ones which has no filter too? Blessing to your health and work. Peter from Hungary
@bremenpipesmoker65712 жыл бұрын
Thank you so much for that, my friend! Truly appreciated! Yeah....I only have 9mm activated charcoal filter Meers... Take care and be well, my friend! Mark

You are a brave man subjecting your palate to all of these new blends. "Burning Rubber", one of my favorite flavors in pipe tobacco probably not a good marketing description LOL. Seriously though I am wondering what kind of humectants they are putting in this stuff to keep it moist at room humidity for this long, seems a bit unnatural. I am having trouble with the tea flavor you mention. Can you spell it out for me? The closed caption is not translating it correctly. You ask about our regular everyday "go to" favorites. For me any good quality Virginia flake, Capstan Navy Cut, S. Gawith Best Brown Flake, Fribourg and Treyer Special Brown Flake, F&T Cut Virginia Plug, F&T Cut Blended Plug, Dan Patriot Flake and of course Richmond Navy Cut. For a change of pace I will occasionally have a bowl of Peterson (Dunhill, I will always think of it as a Dunhill product) 965.

I understand tobacco companies feel the need to make special blends but do you think they only go by smell and not by smokability? So many of the special blends smell great but smoke very badly. Do you think they listen to the consumers? Thanks for another entertaining review.

loved john aylesbury's 40th anniversary edition. tried there "green tin" which was supposed to taste like pinna colada. after a couple of bowls i gave up on it. not my flavor profile. life is to short to waste time on blends you don't enjoy. unfortunately price inflation has gotten to tobacco too. happy pipe smoking!

You're probably the most British sounding German I've ever heard. I know a lot of Pennsylvania Dutch people, (they're called that because of English Americans miss pronouncing douich (sorry I spelled that wrong) you sound almost like a Brit with your English, but when a meet a Pennsylvania dutch (actually German it was just miss pronounced) . Sometimes I need them to speak clearer. Sometimes it's easier if they just speak in German because I took German in highschool. But sometimes there accents are so thick I just can't understand. My point is you almost sound British, being able to understand you as an American that barelyany German is cool.
@bremenpipesmoker65712 жыл бұрын
Thanks for that!... quite interesting to me... and much appreciated! Take care! Hope you're well! Mark

Well, Germany is almost equallater ( sorry I know it's spelled wrong) to Missouri in the US. Here in Missouri it could be -10 with rain hail, sleet or snow. But in July it's so humid you wish you died in April. (Side note, I wonder if that's why we have so many Germans here? We're they just used to the stupid weather?)
