I love when they put those choils on a knife. The dragonfly 2 makes great use of that concept to give you more handle room

To fix the off set blade when it's closed:Untight the pivot screw about half way before you complete unscrew it, open the blade at 90 degrees angle ( half way to open the knife),then tight the pivot screw.Close the knife and check if the set is still off,then try again.Problem solved.Sorry for my English,I come from Greece.Cheers!

I picked up a factory second efficient the other day for $12. I honestly can’t find a problem with it. For that price there was no question. It’s a great knife at full price. Thanks for your great review.

After watching this video, I am inclined to pickup the Efficient! I watched this with the intention of buying either one, and the Efficient did a better job on the cutting tasks you did, Aaron! Thanks so much for the great video, keep them coming, love your channel and all reviews!

As far as budget knives go the Efficient is top notch. I personally like the more traditional wharncliffe blade shape. The overall minimalist look, the liner lock, the rounded handle, the deep groove on the handle and finger choil are all very nice. It looks pretty similar to the native, but there are little differences that honestly make it more visually appealing. If they produce an Efficient with their traditional steel, I think the native would take a back seat.

I just received most of a Persistence in a trade but haven't been able to use it yet. I took it into the Spyderco FOS for a rebuild. Hopefully it comes home soon because it looks like a decent EDC work knife. Thank for the video!

Nice review! I like the Efficient...I've got a Byrd Robin 2 with a similar finger choil. Makes a small knife really usable.

I have the blue handled Persistence and the black blade Tenacious but, the Efficient looks sweet. I may have to pick one up.
@Red_Bearded_Dad6 жыл бұрын
I have the Tenacious and I love it. I think I might pick up the Efficient for something just slightly different. The Persistence is basically a slightly smaller Tenacious. I think switching between the Tenacious and Efficient as part of my EDC will be the sweet spot. Today's EDC for me: Tenacious, Victorinox Compact, Fisher X-750 Space Pen, a Victorinox Classic on my keychain and G-Shock Radio controlled Solar Watch (GWM500A-1).

I'd love to see the Efficient vs the Raven 2. I know the Raven is longer, bit it's also narrower. I think they'd feel very similar in the pocket.

Nice video! I just got the Efficient on a whim, and I really like it! Never owned a Persistence but I do have many other Spydies like the Polestar, Delica, 4, Manix 2 LW, Centofante 3, Native 5, etc. For a budget blade it seems pretty nice. I wonder how it compares to the Byrd Crow 2?

For lefties like myself, the Efficient works really nice with the middle finger "spydie flick." It'd be nice if this was a little more ambidextrous, but depending on comfort level with different opening methods, it can work surprisingly well.

Elliott Coker I agree. The fake market on Amazon is huge. Especially Spyderco. I'd only buy from a dealer like bladehq, or one of the well knowns.
@mikeewer72408 жыл бұрын
If you can navigate Amazon and read reviews of products and the sellers you aren't going to have any issues.

I had 2 counterfeit Spyderco Tenacious knives sent to me....back to back too. Amazon took them back and removed the seller. Still happens though.

Love these two blades. I do wish American blade companies would make their blades here in America though. I tend to have to fix fit and finish or deployment problems on blades that are made overseas far more often than I do on ones made in America
@sashaghovanlou69696 жыл бұрын
you do realize spyderco makes the majority of their knives either here in America or in Taiwan right? you want a $40 spyderco, its gonna be chinese

Hey want to make a blade as dull as possible as quick as possible? Let's cut paper! Why. Every time. I mean, at least make the test on HANGING, free-floating paper. Bit no. It's always on (supported) card stock almost, and cardboard.
