I really prefer 24-3/4” or shorter scale. Jaguars are so fun, comfortable and easy to play. Would love to see PAF style humbuckers in a Jaguar!

hey dude, I just got mine! I really liked ur review. Do you happen to know how to take the knob out? the volume knob came a little different and I needed to take it out and put it in place the right way, but dont know how

It is not a normal knob. It is a push pull knob. Push down and it may click into place.

Is the bobbin on the neck the deeper one or shallower so the coil is as wide as the bobbin, like old style Jazzmaster pups? You can "balance" the out of phase switch with a resistor so one pickup output is less than the other. Still get the out of phase sound but not as much like a tiny telephone under water. I like a strangle switch with this wiring too but not as big a cap value as a Jaguar, iirc 2200pf was my magic number. Gets you 6 more sounds by strict accounting but in series strangled is lovely

A few questions. 1) what size resistor do you suggest? and 2) you replaced the factory cap with a 2200 pf cap?

@@guitarcollectorguy The strangle switch is a toggle switch wired like the Jaguar, between output on the switch and the jack, with a capacitor in series. I use CDE silver micas since film caps aren't in the low value needed. The Jag value is pretty high, I used 2200 picofarad in my Baja-alike Tele. The other thing: check schemes on how to balance pickups with resistors. Value is to ear. As an different example, say you've got a phase reverse switch on an LP or other VVTT controls guitar: if with the switch engaged you set the separate volume controls differently you'll hear the phasing sound change. The Peter Green guitar is the best example. With master VT controls you're otherwise stuck with the full 180* out of phase sound. The best example for this is the Baja Tele, many people find the phase reverse unsatisfying or unusable because of the single volume control.
