I'm an old school singer that was offered a recording contract in 2007. I can't even get a gig today. All the gigs go to relatives of the bar owners and these people absolutely cannot sing. Talent is frowned upon today. This is a fact, I go to see live music and it's always horrible. People can play instruments but none can sing any better that this girl. Music has changed sadly

It's that pop folk rock & country radio hybrid sound. Just vanilla pop music to make bank. And with the right record company, promo and distribution they can sell it easily. That's pretty much what i'm hearing and seeing. What's so frustrating is hearing the difference between this live performance and the official music video. Throw some $$$ at make up, lighting, effects, professional sound engineers, etc. Anyone can be a pop star. How many talented souls are singing in the shower and random karaoke nights? How many people would honor and respect the invitation to sing at an MLB event? It's such a shame this is the state of our entertainment industry.

Someone setup her auto tune to the wrong key for the national anthem or didn’t configure the key changes correctly. She’s just not a good singer. That’s all.
