When i was young and just beginning to hang out with my father he would listen to it . He never made the best decision but always had good intent , and i know he loved me . This became his and my favorite song we both loved it , he passed 3 years ago and this song reminds me so much of him i can even picture the countless times and places we listened to it . Its his birthday today and this song helps me through my struggles and i know it helped him through his . Its an old song but easily is my favorite and always will be

Aaron Lewis always has done a great job at expressing himself and connecting with others thru his lyrics. This is my favorite Staind song. Check out the new album too it’s actually very good. I’m glad to see them comeback around! Saw them this past summer in Virginia and they opened with “lowest in me” which blew me away as I had no idea they were making new music! Great band for my generation. I remember when Illusion of Progress came out, liked the more emotional side of it. Great song!

Sad song. Surviving in chains. Earthly pursuits. Such talent. It's true we are all rotten sinners, but Christ offers redemption and allows us to drop all our cares upon Him, for it's impossible for us to carry such burden. Praying the lyrics of Staind become less about them and more about Him. It wouldn't affect their paycheck much, but it would affect their hearts very deeply, ver profoundly as God takes center stage. I get the pain of being stained. I do. Love these guys.

Aaron Lewis even "wrote" Outside when he was on stage during the Family Values tour. If that song isn't straight from the soul then truly must not know what is.
