Jimmy can't play his old stuff anymore. I mean, the guitar solos.

about that kind of playing, the artist who played it doesn't remember actually what he was doing after the song is over. lol just naturally playing through where his left hand goes haha

@@박종권-d4d true, page said he wasn't thinking when he was playing the solos, he just played, no doubt he could reproduce after listening to it a couple times but I don't think he could reproduce these solo's time and time again, they were a one-off show
@markhill92752 жыл бұрын
Jimmy NEVER played the same song exactly the same way twice. That was part of his Genius, that's one of the reasons i personally consider him the greatest! After all, greatest is only a personal favourite. As to people alluding Jimmy couldn't do this now, DOH, how old is he? If anyone here could play like Jimmy, well, you wouldn't be here! Stop comparing, just be grateful you got to hear him .
@fuzzingaround Жыл бұрын
He never really played the same stuff twice exactly, Jimmy was all improvisation with a few bases!!

For years, I keep coming back to all your videos as the Holy Grail of Jimmy Page. These replications are just incredible. They not only highlight your immense talents but give us the viewer, a close up of Jimmy's genius. It must be thrilling for you that you can experience Jimmy's musicality. And I pray that these gifts you've given us remain for all generations to see. Thank You Larzgallows. 🙏
With the studio version, there are a lot of tutorials on KZbin and it's quite easy to learn and shorter, that even I learned to play it. With TSRTS version, you're on your own learning it. You must have invested a lot of time and attention to detail getting this right, because I've listened to this solo countless times since the late 70s, and I would have twitched if something was even slightly off. I didn't twitch the entire time watching you play it. Awesome!

Not sure I’ve ever heard anyone have a go at this version of the solo. Bravo! Page is so hard to copy in ‘73. There’s so much going on and a lot of it is improvised and idiosyncratic. Basically, a genius at his absolute peak.

Well played cover. Nice, not just a play over of the album. Though we gain knowledge by copying Note for note, to grab the essence is lacking in this cover. In other words, record this again with the signature licks, but improvise the rest. Then you can really guage yourself. Don't stay stuck in copying note for note, kids. Find the essence, tap in, and share your improvised solo. That is how you find YOUR voice.
