As for value I'd say if a horse you backed at evens drifts to 2/1 and then wins, you probably got 'poor value'. Even if you have BOG, the Betfair SP will be bigger and the price you took in the morning is clearly not value, even if it hacks up. Conversely if you take 20/1 on a horse that gets back into 8/1 then doesn't place, you still got value. People need to understand this. It's not all about winners and losers... mug punters look at each race like it's a puzzle with a correct 'answer'. It isn't... a race is a flux of probabilities until it is run. Even if you ran the same race with the exact same initial conditions you'd often get a completely different result... as a rule of thumb, if you are beating the Betfair SP price ON AVERAGE you are going to be making a profit in the long run. If you're regularly backing horses that drift, you will not make money... even with Best Odds Guaranteed... that will not off-set the negative equity you have inherently when you back horses that drift.

Nice video content! Apologies for butting in, I would appreciate your thoughts. Have you ever tried - Chiveard Betting Information Framework (should be on google have a look)? It is a great one of a kind guide for getting an automated horse racing betting system without the headache. Ive heard some pretty good things about it and my work colleague at very last got great results with it.

It doesn't 'depend on the race' at all... regardless of race a heavy drift is a MAJOR negative and a heavy contraction is a HUGE positive, does not matter about the race in question. He is speaking nonsense in that regard.
