Stalking is a terrible crime. And a stalker are typically unstable.
Stalking is now considered a crime because it impedes on the life, freedom, and rights of an unsuspecting person.
It is something that can ruin the psychological and emotional stability of someone who deserves to live a life free of harassment and free of intimidation.
A stalker typically impact around 1 in 6 women and 1 in 17 males.

When people are poor and orphan they go insane over strangers I met people by accident they think after 15 years I got shit against them they record follow search and also track my home without one single proof someone did them wrong so they group and whine about me imagine 15 years ugh being local sucks and being forever poor is mentally draining I guess dumb people will never grow up to be normal adults either female or male 😂😂😂

I've been stalked three times. Once from work for many years which was gang stalking because of a vindictive and very powerful boss. Then twice by neighborhood stalkers who seem to want to violate my property boundaries and call the county on me for perceived violations to harass me or spy on me (walking by with their smart phone pointed at my house surreptitiously recording). Now we have the couple next door who trespass, call in contractors to do things in our wooded area and walk back and forth in front of our home like they are just going for a walk but always stop in the exact same spot and bring out their phone like they are measuring something and going to the far property line they don't share with us to stand there and look up and down it like they are evaluating it. They release their German Shepherd on us when we are on our own property but within 50 feet of the property line and tell us we are lucky they have an invisible fence. They are well off people: a middle aged couple with two kids. He works from home and she doesn't seem to work at all. What kind of profile does this fit? We did nothing to trigger this behavior.

Breaks my heart to read this. All I can say is I have been there. I was for years. Remember that you did nothing to deserve any of this. If you believe in a higher power ask/pray for protection. Thanks for this video, Tamara! Sometimes, you hit the notes that other professionals do not, and this is one example. I am not sure any of these profiles fit for me, but I have a neighbor in my building who is unstable. I was friendly to them during some novel and crazy circumstances (mass shooting in our building that made national news, he had nowhere to go that night because he lived right next door to the crime scene). He constantly texted and called thereafter, then came to my apartment, and I told him to stop. Then, he moved to harassment via the common areas. The police have been called by the building multiple times; I also called about a month ago when he threatened my life and I got some video of it. The police encouraged me to get an ASO but here in DC, it's meaningless -- smaller requests to set boundaries have only amounted in escalation and more threats. He seems emboldened by a lack of consequences, and whenever anyone challenges him, he retaliates and plays the victim. People like this suck. I am already dealing with a whole lot. It doesn't help to have this extra shit piled on and know the system is enabling them and making me feel like I'm a crazy complaining "Karen."

I was stalked for years by my father in my 40s. I was his punching bag and that of the family for years. I was beaten, put down and abused for years until I couldn't take it anymore. I cut ties but he tried everything...email, phone etc. Because of our goodness we sometimes blame ourselves. They just need someone they can control and they don't change. It took me years to realize that I deserve to be happy and they are not worth it. They are dangerous people who want to destroy us because they believe for whatever reason we deserve to be destroyed.

Is unwanted gifting a manner of stalking? Someone I dated for a few months leaves gifts at my house regularly, usually little things, but sometimes elaborate. I've told him numerous times to stop coming to my house and that I don't want his gifts. He also calls/texts but I never pick up or open the messages. This has been going on for two years now. I thought he'd eventually take the hint and do the right thing, or meet someone who's interested, but it's become more frequent lately, I've just spent the weekend upstairs in my house where I could pretend I'm not home and where I wouldn't be caught off guard, this past few days have been exhausting and depressing.

Yes. It is considered stalking. It can also cross over into harassment if you have made it very clear you do not want these gifts, the relationship is over, and the gifts won't move the needle any higher. Sounds like this is what you did. I'm so sorry you are going through this. You really have to protect your mind because the stalker can make you feel trapped. The best thing to do is let people you trust know what is happening, have the police pay him a visit (mental health check or warning) if you know where he lives and have enough proof of the behavior, and consider getting security cameras to catch his behaviors around your home. It's sad but you may have to get a bit more intentional.

Yes, if it's unwanted it's stalking be careful with this one bump ring around say hello but they gave you this and I gave you that may expect something from you. Get away from them send stuff back just it's hard to disengage from somebody like that

Thank you both for the advice, I have told my family and close friends, one friend witnessed the behaviour recently. As far as evidence I have call logs, unanswered/rejected calls going back about a year, unopened messages on various apps going back as far as the end of the relationship, and some photos of him standing outside, but I don't have his address, I just know he lives in the city an hour from here. His previous girlfriend had similar issues with him too, I believe he even showed up at her workplace.

A stalker eviscerated a friendship of mine with an online friend. This guy started talking to me about some some stuff at first until I mentioned about fitness stuff. Things seemed fine until he was aware of a friend of mine online (calling her Victim for obvious reasons). He told me to say hi to Victim for him and I found it wierd at first. Mind you this has NEVER happened to me before and thought he was a long lost friend or something like that. When I was dumb enough to do so, I had gotten a message from another friend asking me "what's this I hear about you saying had to Victim for someone who has stalked her for years?" I was so devastating after reading that message that I didn't even know what to do. Not only I've been told that the jerk who used me as a messenger boy had stalked Victim for years, but also I was blocked as well! I wanted to apologize for not knowing about this at all, but I was told that Victim has officially cut ties with me entirely. I was so pissed that this happened. Not only being used, but also ended a decent friendship I had without even knowing the situation that happened years ago.

Tamara! I have to thank you from the bottom of my heart. I am being stalked by a police in my town for 2 years now! The station doesn't do anything. I have no support system. Your videos bring me so much hope, and peace. I watch on repeat to just gain some insight! I have been dealing with a predotory stalker for almost 4yrs. I only knew him for one month. I never had sex with him. He is still angry that I wasn't sexualy attracted to him. 😠. I tried to get a restraining order and was denied. I have left the Country and he still stalks. He's a hacker, so I have struggled to get rid of him. He also has other hackers helping him.

My husband is a therapist and one of his clients is stalking him and he was placed on administrative leave beciase she claimed they’re in a sexual relationship. We are so lost and have no idea what to do cuz she hasn’t been threatening or aggressive like the predatory type. What the hell do we do? The police say we can’t do anything!

Thanks for the breakdown, I was in a relationship for 5 years with a stalker. They are scary. I ran that cuz I was naive plus I have three kids to take care of myself so course you don't see the red flags people always ask why didn't you see that, sometimes you don't. This guy had taken my keys and made a copy of my keys one night when I was out with friends I came home my door is locked, when I got my door open this guy had his hands wrapped around my neck and picked me up he started yelling at me. I went to see management have the apartment building explained my situation submit change my lock so he couldn't get in and I used to carry my keys on my inside pockets of all my jackets and coats I was good for about a week and just when I felt like I was doing okay oh, he would find ways of following me. I would go out with my friends I actually went to a concert and when my friends offered to watch my children received nine and 10 calls threatening her she called me and I had to rush home but he was gone. He would stalk me at night when I was at home he he would blind me loud noises out my room. No matter what store I went to he was there. There's no worse feeling or scary feeling. I bought myself a knife and a gun for my own protection and took some classes and remembered my military training, be aware of your surroundings all the time. I tried to explain to my landlord who said you've already changed the locks on the doors Place whatever I moved two entirely different he sure ask me for another 6 months and I guess he got tired guess I haven't heard from him since. I think the worst kind of specters of police officers I had one of those when I moved here to my this town oh, so I went to the police department because no matter where I went he was there he would always follow me in his cop car, know your enemy I had dirt on him I went down the police department got a restraining order and I'm not so much a restraining order because he is a police officer they wouldn't let me do it but I had to go another route, has never bothered me since. It is it's the scariest situation you could ever be in it sucks but situational awareness is a cute big Q and to take some self-defense. Courses. I don't know if this was live or not cuz I just got home from three days access appointments always and I'm glad you kept it up because this is serious and if you do plan to leave this fit is personal relationship please leave this person stash money away do whatever you have to but leave and don't go back because they won't change

You're welcome! This is a tricky topic so most people benefit from knowing exactly what they are dealing with. I'm so sorry you had to go through this. You are right that some people do ask why you didn't "see the signs." It's not that easy. And just because you had to "go along" or you suffered behind this person for years doesn't mean you are not intelligent. Stalking is a "power" and the predator uses it to manipulate, triangulate, trap, and control. It's by the grace of God that you get out! I hope things are better for you now.

My uncle stalked a waitress from sunrise restaurant all the way to the hospital when he found out that she was having surgery. He uses his phone to take silent pictures of her without her permission. Add even has a poster made of one of the pictures that he's taken. He goes to the restaurant daily keeps asking about her and buys her gifts. It enrages me and my mom because he will not listen to reason problems borderline what other dangerous activities that are inappropriate and have gotten the cops called on him. Throw the cops don't do nothing about it.

That's a great question! So many people ask me this. The best thing to do is "prevention therapy." What I mean by this is prevention is key in protecting yourself against a predator as much as realistically possible through antivirus programs on your electronics, ensuring you have cameras or security where you live and even in your car if you can, and taking precautious steps ahead of time. Stalkers can always bypass our boundaries but you can at least make it harder on them.

@@lanehennefer5896 Unfortunately, this is good advice. I would absolutely consider an unknown predator stalker a life threat. I had one, didn't know him but gained his attention through my lifelong habit of regular outdoor running through neighborhood streets. I always dressed in dark baggy sweats and t-shirts/hoodies for the very reason of preventing notice. He followed me home and would wait for me in his car, just far enough away that I couldn't get a look at him. He wanted me to know that he was stalking me as he would stop his idling car pointed straight at me and just sit there. He also flashed the headlights and honked at me. It's the scariest experience I've ever had. Not just in the moment, but true fear throughout the days knowing that I was in danger and someone wanted to kill me and was right there waiting. I opened my garage door early one pre-dawn morning to find his car sitting there idling and waiting. I moved, to a whole other part of the city. That worked, left him behind. But, I do now own a gun.

Hi hate to admit this too @L N and @LaneHennefer, but this is a good suggestion. As a Believer, I try to believe that what you sow, you reap. And I try to believe that, if we are smart and wise in how we manage the stalker, we will be okay. HOWEVER, there is a reality among us all that reminds us that predators don't just go away. They continue their behavior which will require you to make some adjustment to your life, routine, and safety. Sometimes learning how to defend yourself is also key. Sadly.

The problem is with the political stalker that is what you're supposed to be doing you are supposed to stalk all of your politicians and make sure to hold them accountable to the words coming out of their mouth 90% of the time. Unfortunately it is a form of stalking but you know what it's the way the government works in America and you have to stop them to keep them accountable otherwise they will manipulate the situation to their advantage. It's like you need to stock them to prevent their narcissistic grandios behavior.

I have to ask. This guy I had a one night stand with this guy. I did something stupid but I find that his friends and could be wrong , but his friends watched my page in the past. Why I walked away.
