I have fond memories of my MR. It was my first ship back in the days when the game wasn't even a game really, just a messy (albeit very cool) tech demo. I crashed it 50 times at least. Never successfully landed it in fact until I came back to the game at the tail end of 3.21. Of course, I crashed it into the side of Tressler on my first landing attempt. Also, I joined the channel so go buy your character some food!

I love it! I started with the MR. I now have a lot of ships but one that I proudly own is my lil' Aurora CL. It's cozy, has great viewing, low footprint, and fast in and out.

You mentioned that you can upgrade the guns by adding two more, but you didn't mention you could swap out the cargo rack and get 6 SCU of cargo. Of course you need to find / rent and Aurora CL and steal its cargo rack, but it is doable.

but you cannot save the loadout, i tried it and when i placed anything 'stolen', including guns, i wasn't allowed to save it that was the deciding factor into upgrading to a titan, i would have otherwise loved the aurora, but the stock version is simply not enough

For these starter ships, upgrading to the Atlas is a priority number one. It's always going to be both faster, and more fuel efficient than any of the stock drives.

Really hoping they do a visual and design pass on this ship. It is lacking compared to some other starters.

I'm sorry but this ship SUCKS. I should have done my research before buying the game because I didn't know you could choose a ship. The ship sits too low to the ground to load SCU boxes underneath. If you do get a box to mount, good luck getting another one in there. Waste disposal missions are even a PITA because stacking boxes in front of the bed is near impossible. I even clipped through the top of my ship once and died trying to stack biowaste boxes. The bracing crossbars across the front of the cockpit window are unnecessary blind spots. And there there are all the other reasons you listed on how it's worse than the other ships. The ONLY thing this ship does well is fly. It is quite possibly the worst ship in the game and no one else seems to be acknowledging that.

@@EvenLease44 Not sure how to do that. I finally struggled my way to enough auec to get a Cutlass Red (freggin LOVE that ship) but I know losing it is possible with a server wipe. I would DEFINATELY like to pick a different ship after that. Where do I go?

@wizardonthejob you would need to make sure that you get another game package, you would go to the website hit account, go to my hangar and then click on the ship package you have and hit exchange. Make sure the amount is enough to get one of the other packages (not any on sale as those are warbond(cash) only)
