I think that's a wood panel. I hope they have different colors for that in the customization because I prefer the light wood it had in the expo to this orange one. I even prefer much darker wood trims.

I have a 315P and after seeing this, I’m really looking forward to the 315P rework. One thing I don’t like about the 315P is the interior. There’s wasted space and the fold-out bunk is horrible. It’s an exploration ship and the bunk is like a hide-a-bed sofa. You wouldn’t want to travel too far in that ship and sleep on that bunk for an extended period of time. 😊 The 300 looks really nice, though...so I’m anxious to see the others. Great video 👍🏻

While I will say that the 300 series does look more in line with the rest of Origin ships, I vastly preferred the look of the old model.

I have been waiting for this rework for so long, this is the first ship i got when pledging for the game back in 2012. Ive been tempted to melt it a few times over the years but always decided to hang onto it, so glad I did. Cant wait for the next ptu wave so I can try it.

One thing I really like with the current/old 300i is the ability to climb out onto the wings - I got a number of really nice screenshots standing on the wing of a 300i, miles above Lorville at sunset.

@@tacticaladvance It actually hasn't been removed, it's some kind of bug that seems to exist if you copied your account to the PTU in the first few hours after it went up. Recopying should give you the hangars back.

That mouse wheel for landing is such a nice touch. I keep wishing they would remove G-force. I know they won't, but I'd prefer to use the ship to it's full potential, and that just kinda takes the fun out of it. ALthough it might be a mechanic that is hard to master and can give you an advantage if you can do it well

No it doesnt. Just dont turn off "G-Safe" and you can use your ship to its full potential, it just wont black you out but go to the limit.

I don't have a 300 series yet but I've had my eye on a 315P vs a Freelancer DUR. I'm reserving judgment until more of the scanning mechanics are fleshed out. This looks great!

I love the design language. That nose is a good look! Loving the glass. This feels like the new Beta. A little camper, but with luxury! It's a little dark on the inside though. I wonder if the cargo bay can hold a dragonfly? It's quite a flat vehicle, and should take 6-8 cargo. Thanks for the review! Looking forward to trying this beauty!

Sadly hand boxes seem to fall through the lift when you try to use it for them. Hopefully they fix that soon. For now, though, you can climb up the ladder while holding one and store it inside the cabin.

@@dacel88 I think it only works on a few ships (notably the Aurora for the last major patch or two) and isn't intentional on the new 300. At least it works for now, though.

12:00 That would technically be "red-out" (so called for the red you'd start to see) it's a positive g force, so upwards instead of downwards the spine. Basically, blackout is blood flowing out of the brain, redout is the overflow of blood to the brain. Humans (as any other mammal, from what I know) are much more resistant to blacking out than redding out. But I am cherrypicking and even digressing... Except for that, nice video.

i was happy to hear they were going to re-do the 300 series as i have the 325a, however i feel this was a bit of a disappointment i think it still needs more work, i hope the other variants also get their own individual look (cockpit seems a bit dull) also rest of the cabin is very dimly lit

@@dethcubegaming1556 well, i went ahead and melted my Greycat PTV and got the Titan -> 300i CCU and a 300I -> 315P CCU just in case... Also did a few calculations and with my Aquila +Dfly pack, if I melted it, I could get a Carrack and have $5 left over, lol.

That thing in atmosphere will go nose down in two seconds, the center of lift is all in the back and the center of mass well in front of it, it will behave like a dart and nosedive till the ground

The repeaters on this thing run out a few minutes into a dogfight (about 470 rounds per gun). Very difficult to complete a bounty on without a weapon upgrade. Flies well and looks nice though.

Im really happy with the new look but my only gripe is that I wish they changed the placement of the toilet and the "closet" this way you could make a shower/bathroom combo I mean the beta has one and its a smaller ship and youll be able to actually shut the bathroom door since youre not having your room restricted to the hull sides. Its just odd to me that on a luxury ship you would not have the forethought to make enough room so your customer isnt sitting halfway out of the room when "taking care of business." and it would make more sense to have the closet there as its got a built in gun rack & clothes hanger. something I myself using to put away my gun or jacket in as soon as I enter or prepare to leave my ship but im not a dev or architect so my opinion isnt worth much.

For the money, this ship really can't be beaten as a starter. Yes, it's a little more expensive than the Aurora or something comparable, but it does have much greater longevity in terms of usefulness with the added cargo room and the ability to log in and out while on board. Basically, this ship can give the best experience of what you can do in game. As for combat, I'll admit that it is lacking, but still pretty effective in its weight class. I upgraded my Aurora to this and I couldn't be happier.

When i first saw the Anvil Hurricane i thought it should be an origin ship because the sort of hoop-like wings fit the aesthetic that was set by the wings of the 300 series early on. Im glad to see they still have it after the redesign. Though im curious what this will mean for the other more role-specific variants; especially my 350R. It never needed to carry cargo, and i always thought it looked pretty sexy and flew well as it was. Being a racer, i hope its not as big as the 300I looks here. I also hope it at least gets 3x S2 fixed guns. The 325A should still get at least one S3 hardpoint. Not sure if im a fan of the front gun just hanging down from the chin like that though. It looked better when it was sort of tucked in between the sides of the nose. Though maybe that'll give it better range of motion *shrug*. Just looks much less sleek. I will say that having a drop down cargo lift makes more sense than just a space on the floor and having to carry it up a ladder. Though the other variants shouldnt really need that, except maybe the 315P. So other changes should be interesting to see.

I own the 315P. Looking forward to it, and it's way better, IMHO than the previous version. But here's my opinion: *LET'S START WITH THE PROS:* 1. The glass roof is awesome! 2. The overall design is wonderful. 3. The wings have the *Starboard=Green/Port=Red* position lights. 4. The cargo compartment is excellent. 5. The cockpit has a glare shield. *NOW THE CONS:* 1. The landing gear looks undersized. The nose landing gear is the right size but the main landing gear should be at least 50% thicker (even if it means just one wheel per gear, but double is better), and 50 -100% bigger in diameter. 2. The pilot position is *VERY BAD!!!* Watch from around 13:10 and see where the pilot is located. His head is the tiny white dot. It looks like he's sitting in a pit because his chin can barely make it above the sill of the glass canopy whereas his shoulder should be above it. In fact it should be barely above his elbow. As if that's not bad enough, he has two *HUGE* struts exactly on his 3 and 9, impairing his vision, yet there is a huge space in front. He's so far back that his hand couldn't even reach the buttons in front if he stretched it. This can be fixed by moving him forward until his knees are almost underneath the panel, and then raising his seat until his helmet is very close to the roof (until just around the point where he can't see the flat underside of the glare shield). He has so much useless space above him that a 5-foot tall pilot could sit on his head and still hot hit his head on the canopy roof. That's an utterly ridiculous waste of space both in front of, and above the pilot. Put him in the suggested position and we can talk about good visibility. Right now, there is none. He can only see above him and less than 90 degrees to his left and right, yet if he moved forward and higher, he'd be able to see around at least 120 degrees to his left and right, and around 30 degrees below him to his left, right and forward. Not only are the struts utterly useless and counterproductive, the almost sharp corners of the glass (top left and top right) are also counterproductive. They only serve to confuse the pilot. The canopy should curve smoothly to avoid annoying reflections. The 600i has a huge canopy without struts, and the 300 series canopy is less than 10% the size of the 600i's canopy. Not only that, both ships are manufactured by same company, so you'd think they'd have figured out how to lose the obnoxious struts, but instead they're competing in width with the actual glass. Of course I'm exaggerating here but you get the point. BTW, the 600i suffers from the same visibility issue despite the very huge canopy, and can be fixed almost the same way, but that's another story.

I don't actually know but you would only need a runway for atmospheric bodies, so many moons wouldn't warrant one

The boxes you see here are the Cargo, on the video the ship is fully loaded with good, when empty, the box rack is empty as well and you can put a bunch of stuff like mission boxes into it.

wait, 'front cargo' does that mean there's a second cargo bay? Anyway, I have two 300 series ships. (350r and 315p) and I'm curious to see how those turn out. The all white indeed isn't super appealing, so if custom paint schemes are a thing, that's going to get changed. XD The interior is a big improvement on the old version, and while a bit sparser than I'd personally like, does fit so much better. It's also broadly much closer to the ideas about how to 'fix' the 300 series I had a long time ago. (and may have mentioned on the forums multiple times when I still went on the forums - particularly the notion of aircraft style underfloor cargo, which makes perfect sense for a craft like this.) Yeah, very much gives the vibe of a private jet now, which makes sense. I do wonder if there IS a second cargo bay though. Possibly at the rear of the ship? Would make sense. That's a common place for one in light aircraft. More common than underfloor in fact, if the aircraft is small enough. Though even the old 300 series isn't that small. I remember noting before that the front half of the old version with the crew compartment was the length of a passenger coach and twice as wide. (which made the waste of internal space much more blatant) And adding in the half of the ship taken up by the engine, the 300i was comparable in scale to a small passenger jet such as an Airbus A318. (smallest variant of an A320) Which, needless to say, is... massive...

I'm sure someone has already mentioned it but 1G on the pad is accurate because 1G = 1 earth normal gravity. Unsure if levski is supposed to be 1G or not but that's a pretty normal number to read on a landing pad.

300 has abour 6-8 SCU. 315 has 8-12 SCU 325 has 4-6 SCU 350 has roughly 2-4 judging at what the pictures Reddit had. The 325 has its for cargo compartment dedicated to more missiles. And only has its aft cargo area. The 350r will have part of the forr cargo area to use. The remainder is engine. It looks like the 300i only has the fore compartment. And thr 315 can carry the most from the 300 series.

I wish they just kept that wooden/white interior with warm lighting. This looks too mechanical, something you'd expect from Aegis or Anvil perhaps. Ah man, ship would have been absolutely perfect if it had wooden interior. It'd have had everything i could have wanted, cool ass environment, decent weaponry and shields and maneuverability. Literally everything u'd want, and that'd be from civilian luxury series of a ship.
