Accidents also happen because a major car manufacturer has a design flaw that allows a quarter ton vehicle to appear that it is in park when it is in fact neutral. Dying in agony is a horrible way to go. If we point a finger at the deceased, it gives us a smug little sense of feeling it has nothing to do with us. The cause of death shouldn't be switched from the culprit to the victim.

But the weight of the jeep wouldn't allow him to draw an adequate breath. I'll bet he tried to stop it from rolling. Always set your emergency brake, especially on any incline, even a minimal slope cause she will roll!

It was so heart braking when I heard of Anton's death. He was one hell of an actor and should have won an Oscar for his roll in Alpha Dog. He was also a true humanitarian donating $1000.000 to cystic fibrosis center at Keck hospital. Anton rest in peace, you are sadly missed.

I can imagine how this would have happened. I had a Jeep Cherokee for 3 years. Living on a ranch, I would frequently leave the engine running and the door open when I'd get out to open a gate. One time, on a very slight incline, I put the car in park and got out to open one of the gates.....I thought it was in park and it rolled toward the gate. There wasn't a crushing possibility (thank God!), but I did have to jump back in the car and set the break before it ran into the fence. Right after this tragedy, I had a flashback. I'm a safe driver, but I can see how this kind of thing would happen when you are in a hurry.

ImMoreAwesomer your dumb as shit. That jeep weighs 2.5 tons, and moving at about 10mph at 10 pm, when you can't see shit outside, you would get hit with multiple thousand pounds of force. It only takes 2 pounds of force to break a hand, so imagine how little force it takes to smash a head, or crack a skull. Probably only a couple hundred(he got hit with 50000 newtons of force) 😑🤕😒😒

I just finished watching Thoroughbred, a movie he was in, with Queen Gambit and Queen Alicent actresses. When he appeared as Tim, I thought I have seen this actor before. Found out at the end of the movie in memoriam. He was such a good actor. What a shame. R.I.P.

He’s the same age as me, and I got to work with him. You could tell he’s a good person, and he wasn’t pretentious on set. Humble actors are the talented ones. During break on set, he would smile at me, and he didn’t even know me. But it gave me such comfort in a room full of narcissists.

Am I the only one who thinks this is suspect as shit? Honestly, I don't see anyone anywhere thinking this is odd and it blows my mind. It's maybe a 20-25 foot long drive way with maybe a 10 foot decline (This is the high end of the measurements). The fastest that vehicle could roll backwards is somewhere around 10mph. I could see a broken bone or two, but dead? Fucking dead? Seriously? And no one thinks it's odd..............................

@Rcmunro22 5000 lb jeep, do you really think someone can live if this thing is pushed against you with any kind of energy behind it? It's a hill, the fence/gate kept the vehicle from continually rolling, meaning the potential energy from the car is still trying to transfer to kinetic energy (the car still wants to move). Therefore, his body/the fence/gate gets to absorb the energy that would've otherwise kept the jeep rolling until friction stopped it or it hit something else. The body can't take that kind of compression. This is equivalent to laying down and someone putting a huge block of iron on your chest, you won't die instantly, but you won't live very long. Nobody could live through that. People don't understand physics. 5000 lbs is no joke, even at very low speeds on small inclunes, the energy behind it is huge. Odd? Yes. Suspicious? No, just a freak accident and a really shit design on their shifter by Jeep. Electronic shifters are stupid anyway. RIP

I remembered hearing Jim’s NEW voice at the start of trollhunters season 3 and was like “That’s not Jim”. I went to go bug my mom about it and then got the news he died. I’m just now realizing he died because of a car. It really hurt me when I heard this because troll hunters was and is one of my all time favorite shows. It sucks even more because I’m pretty sure they already record some of his voice lines abut couldn’t use them for inconsistency. I just watched an old movie of his and went to watch videos of it after on KZbin and find out about this in the KZbin comments. I completely agree, technological integration with vehicles should be limited in some aspects. Especially gear shifts, I feel they were designed the way they were for a purpose. Vehicles took too many lives before the tech era even started. I love you Anton and you will be missed.

I Just watched Fright Night 2011 version. This is my 2nd time watching it and had no idea this guy played charlie. Not sure how I missed that. It made me wanna watch odd Thomas again too but then it came to me, where is this guy? He's such a great actor, why hasn't he made anything new? So I typed his name and wiki said Died in 2016. Accident is just a technical word to avoid saying what really happened until the experts come up with the answer. It was either his fault for rushing before making sure the correct shift was set or he did it and the thing failed to sustain the correct shift. Sounds totally like Final Destination stuff...but in real life it is always shocking and no funny! Lawsuit is expected. And these automakers will blame anything but themselves like it always happens. The recall only happened because the car left the manufacturer with a malfunction, it is no excuse saying he did not pay attention to recall alerts. The rush to launch models is the reason of many malfunction in the cars! I am not saying this is what happened but this is the most common reason for malfunction.

Oh my !!! I loved him in 5-7. Blunt force trauma and asphyxiation would imply that he died from asphyxiation after the blunt force trauma. So, he didn’t die instantly, but suffered. 😢

He was AMAZING in the TV series "Taken." I remember it, because there was a scene where he is pleading and crying, and his acting was so perfect, that I started crying. And I'm a cynical asshole. RIP.

From what I heard about this, the park break won't engage unless the car is in park where as other car brands allow the ebrake to be activated even in gear so long as the vehicle isn't moving, Chrysler is one of the few who's system doesn't allow for this, so this could have been avoided if the safety of the parking brake was better, then it wouldn't have mattered if the vehicle was in neutral. Ive also just watched another video on this which states that Anton did NOT get the letter until a week after he was killed.

I was just crushed by a 9000 pound old truck against a gate, usually a deserted place but by luck there was someone there to help me. E brake gave out, I am also a Russian Jew, my name is the female version of his. It was terrifying and the pain was like nothing else I’ve ever felt. All I can think of since then is him. I hope it was quick, I hope he didn’t suffer.
