In Enterprise, there is an episode, "Dead Stop", where we can see a Vaadwaur linked to the automated repair station's computer. That means that the Vaadwaur were able to reach the Alpha Quadrant through the Underspace conduits. Maybe a few of them took refuge in the Alpha Quadrant and did not hibernate like the ones in Voyager. Maybe they are the hidden threat Section 31 has to stop? Or maybe that Vaadwaur character is on the contrary an ally and that Section 31 wants to have access to the Underspace, which would certainly be a huge asset. And knowing the Vaadwaur's duplicity, maybe both?

The Vaadwaur oversaw subspace corridors that allowed them to travel great distances in short periods of time like Borg Transwarp Conduits. The Vaadwaur had only mapped the corridors in Delta quadrant and committed them to memory, never wrote them down for security reasons. It’s likely that these corridors also exist in the Alpha quadrant and Section 31 took a Vaadwaur out of stasis to help them find and map other corridors in Federation space. This way Section 31 could travel across the galaxy much faster than anyone else.

I really wanted to see Georgiou land in the 22nd / 23rd or 24th Century and then have to make her life as a Section 31 operative. I wanted a spy film as that was part of the appeal in both DS9 and ENT. What I didn't want to see was more of the S31 being a more advanced secret Starfleet as we saw in DIS and Into Darkness.....

I don’t get why you would have back story involving Georgio parents she is dead. The character in the show is from the mirror universe and would have no relationship with them.

Maybe they actually are the parents of this mirror universe Georgio and not the one that died. Just a theory. But that theory could get thrown out the window of course if this Georgio and her parents are brought together in this series.

Cindy Goh and Houston Wong seem to be close to Michelle Yeoh in age. As for James' character, I thought he might be playing Prime Georgious son. What's made my eyebrows raise is the Vaadwaur, they went into stasis in the 15th-century and made first contact with Voyager, so are we led to believe some didn't go into cryo?

I think that the inclusion of a member of the Vaadwaur species in the Section 31 movie would break established canon unless the writers can properly explain why they are in the Alpha Quadrant during the late 23rd Century to early 24th Century when the Federation seemingly had no prior knowledge of the Vaadwaur's existence before the crew of the USS Voyager encountered them in the Delta Quadrant.

Michelle Yeoh was by far the best thing that happened to Star Trek Discovery. Her leaving was the worst. Section 31 gives them the chance to restore balance in the Star Trek universe.

@@hawkstringfellow I don't have high hopes for Section 31, but if they listen to Michelle Yeoh's ideas and suggestions there's a chance it might make a decent impression on people like me. Many Star Trek episodes of all the various series turn me off because there's too much of an emphasis on the benefits of being socially-adjusted. For example, Picard was uncomfortable being around children, and this was usually portrayed as him "not liking" children which was interpreted as a serious character fault. Where do they get this from? Not liking children has nothing to do with being uncomfortable around them. Anyway, if Michelle Yeoh can't knock some sense into the producers and directors in this regard nobody can.

I was hoping that this movie will not be focused so much on Georgiou. I like Michelle Yeoh and would like to see her as a cameo character in this, but what about focusing more on the Section 31 as a organization itself? They could explore beginnings of it or how they really operate etc. Instead it seems that we will get Georgiou centric movie just like Discovery is Burnham centric. They wasted potential of Section 31.

As long as the productions continue in the STD time line, these new shows will collapse. So many opportunities lost. Get back to canon and make some real Star Trek tv shows or sale the rights to someone who knows what there doing. Cancel Paramount+

Great... they are building off of the worst Star Trek show ever, Discovery. They have the entire run of TV shows to choose from and they pick the only loser show Discovery. They come up with obscure races and all that great building blocks and they chose this lame shows and its characters. Great another big nothing burger and attachment to the worst Star Trek show ever.

@@inquerion8867 Lets take a tried and true show that works and shit can it and use the only "woke" loser and build on that. This is why it will only have one season and be canceled. Discovery was so bad it was luck it lasted as long as it did. Even Voyager lasted the usual 7 years. It was at least traditional in the sense of the rest of the Star Trek universe. Sigh...
