Seven of Nine began as a new parent: by considering what actions and goals were most important to her and assuming that these ought to be self-evidently valuable to the children. The two errors of judgment are [a] that her "perfection" is the standard by which to judge absolutely what is good for the children (this is the arrogance of man crowning himself/herself as God), [b] that the children are not in need of formation and training to be disciplined in themselves, or else the error is to assume that this will be quick and easy for her to form them or for them to be formed. Parenting is a two way street. You are in charge, but you are not in control; you are a dictator (literally, not colloquially), not a tyrant. Your authority is for their sake - to lead them to grow up, rather than to grow down as they would without you. But you are also meeting someone new and developing your relationship with them, so it is inevitable that you will either grow up with your children, or (if you refuse the maturity that the act of parenthood offers you) you will grow down, too, and drag your children to Hell with you, at least until they're 18. Cor Jesu ✝️ 🔥 ❤ Filii Patris Aeterni, miserere nobis.

@@jjpp2216 Thank Rick Berman for that, he detested the idea of characters evolving and tended to really focus on sex appeal and episodes that solve problems by the end of the story. Take Chakotay for example, his Native heritage, Maquis alliance, and relationship with Janeway, all of these were pretty consistent (even hinting at a relationship between Janeway and Chakotay), then all of a sudden by season 4, it's just gone. Another example is the Kazon and Seska, these villains were pretty much set up to be recurring, then all of a sudden they just don't exist anymore (say maybe for Seska who appeared like one more time after season 5 or something.)

Other than Naomi Wildman she isn't used to children in general. Naomi was always a good obedient child who was under her mother's direction so she doesn't have much bases for comparison. she is accustomed to sometimes childish personalities amongst the crew but its not her job to reign them in. I always loved Naomi Wildman as she sought out Seven’s teachings. Naomi respected Seven for her mental strength and drive for perfection; a strong role-model who wishes to better herself too. Seven shows compassion and tolerance in a quick and not often mentioned moment: she tells Namoi she *doesn’t approve* of her referring to species by their BORG designations and believes her mother likely wouldn’t like it either. Seven may do it out of strong habit or informative nature when giving information, but she knows Namoi has no reason to do so.

@@Emper0rH0rde Statistically speaking, if there is equality of opportunity, there will be a roughly equal outcome. Not exactly, but approximately. As things stand right now, that is not the case in any way (just comparing average socioeconomic status across race is enough to show that). That's why society still has to evolve until it can be said to be equal. Not everyone has to have the same outcome, but if there's a giant disparity in the outcome, it's worth investigating why.
@cartoonking4613 жыл бұрын
@@sparshjohri1109 you really think it shows that does equal opportunity so that everyone can be equally have an outcome? There's roughly 47,000 educational groups in the US and these can be broken down even more by socioeconomic locations. I guarantee you there is at least a hundred different statistics showing those that come from poor families with low educated parents simply never do as well as those that come with high educated parents that teach their kids and work with them on homework and read them books. It's very simple if you want your kids to succeed you have to teach them to succeed and be educated properly. It's time politician stopped blaming everyone for everything about bad outcomes. @timelesscoaching , you are correct. I have not watched "Picard" season 3. I have seen season 3 reviews though. The Drinker, Dave Cullen, and Nerdrotic seem to like season 3. Doomcock, on the other hand, related that even if season 3 is totally perfect and excellent, he will not support an abuser (i.e., Kurtzman, CBS, Paramount, the writers, and the actors) that does not respect his or her audience.
