Yautah The parts with Obi-Wan’s investigation are ok, and I like a lot of of the scenes detailing Anakin’s slide to becoming Vader, but going into Attack of the Clones, I had high expectations as far as the romance and the only thing I really liked about it was JW’s tragic love theme music.

@@glenncabacungan9269 understandable, there's so much in the prequels you can really pick and chose what you like. I also like the political scenes in the film, and all the world building. There's a popular fan theory that Palpatine siphoned Padme's life force to revive Vader. In most Star Wars media before the Disney buyout (and some Disney made) say that Dark Side healing methods involve taking the life energy of another being to heal oneself or others. Some Sith lords of old attempted to gain immortality (every Sith's goal, as using the Dark Side destroys the body) by sucking the life energy out of entire planets. Since you've seen Rogue One, those magma falls should look familiar... It's where Vader built his fortress later on

He killed three Jedi like they were nothing. Well, Darth Sidious was the Dark Lord of the Sith, without an apprentice the full power of the dark side was his to command. Exactly I love the lore that goes more in depth about the ways in which the Jedi had grown weak and were no longer being guided by the will of the force but rather by the Republic. It's not about Anakin being stupid when doing what he did. Once the dark side takes hold, it corrupts the person inside and out as explained in the original trilogy. The more you indulge it, the more it takes hold, the more you change. It's literally a downward spiral. One of the reasons I believe it's wiser to watch 4-5-6 first - but that's a debate I wouldn't dare get into with the community haha :D

@@jokuvaan5175 the way the Star Wars lore goes, the Sith are like the devil, pure evil and relentless at killing Jedi and forcing their will on the Galaxy... The problem with the time period when this is happening is that the Sith aren't really a big thing... @@egy3791 yea, the story would be widely different from one we have been told... I have always found it odd that "world domination" is the goal. Ok, once you have achieved that, what do you plan to do with all that power and resources??? And this is usually where the story of the "evil villains" ends... That they want to rule, but it is very rarely stated what they plan to do once they get into a position of power they crave. For example here, Palpatine basically has all the power already and what does he do? Just being the chancellor and making decisions for the Galaxy is not good enough for you? Palpatine could have probably held onto his power, if he had just kept his Sith origins to himself and slowly moved the galaxy to see the Jedi as an archaic and obsolete organization and he would have effectively destroyed the Jedi order. Without ever risking revealing his hand... But that wouldn't have had as many light saber fights so it was better the way it was in the movies. But villains rarely get any thought besides the fact they are evil and usually ruthless.

Heard an interview Cristopher Lee (Dooku) did a couple months before he passed away. Lee said in the original scene, when he is dueling Anakin, Dooku taunts Anakin by saying he hired the Sand People to kidnap, torture, and kill Anakin's mother. That sets Anakin rage off and he quickly "disarms" Dooku. Dooku tries to tell Anakin he did it on the orders of Sidious but Anakin kills him before Dooku can say it. They thought the scene was too dark and shot it as it showed up in the film. The original changes the the whole story and makes more sense for Anakin's fall to the Dark Side.

The Jedi Temple was mostly unguarded when the Clonetroopers went into it, they didn’t have anyone there except kids. In the novelization, it says Jedi across the galaxy die with Order 66. Ellie summed it up best when she said the duel was like hell, because it symbolizes how this duel has consequences for the galaxy. The reason why they can’t stop to help Padme is because Anakin won’t let Obi Wan near her and he has to stop him. The problem is that Anakin is too powerful and if you analyze that fight, Obi Wan is on the defensive. As much as everything goes wrong, the movie ends with the twins being born, Luke and Leia, the new hope.

Lucas contributed next to nothing to the show while it was under his control aside from saying "yes you can do that and no you can't do that" (which basically amounted to anakin never being able to see grievous in person). Filoni is a damaging hack that can't create something without destroying something else and resorts to low-tier fanfiction to make his original characters survive events they shouldn't, affect events they shouldn't and just be in every project he is associated with. That is amateur, he is an amateur which tells you something when despite being lucas protege he went with Kathleen kennedy who while a friend was only associated with 4 of his projects, the 4 indy jones movies. Not a subordinate that lucas saw every day.

Yeah, It was really Palpatine. Anakin probably would've been a decent Jedi had the future Emperor not been manipulating him and twisting him since the time he became a Padawan. Palpatine uses the Force to sense others' thoughts and emotions and then uses their own fears or desires to convince them to do things for his benefit - exactly what he did to Padme in Episode I when he convinced her to call for a vote of no confidence in Chancellor Valorum so that Palpatine could become Chancellor himself. If he can't convince them naturally, he uses the Jedi Mind Trick to make them do what he wants (Palpatine can even use the JMT against strong-willed people and other Force users, though to a lesser degree). Anakin never really stood a chance.

Oh, Anakin didn't kill Padme. Yeah, the choking didn't help, but if you recall the medical droid said they don't know why she is dying and that its almost as if she lost the will to live. When Palpatine told Anakin (now Vader) he killed her, he was either lying or thought it might be so, but he didn't really care either way. It was just another way for Palpatine to consolidate on the manipulation of Anakin to become his apprentice. Anakin is at fault for a number of things, but he's not the true villain here. At that point where he does force choke her he is newly under the influence of the combination of sudden change, the dark side, and specifically Palpatine's manipulations. He was not thinking clearly and his aggression was amplified by the dark side. Had he been more clear headed, he would of course never been driven to force choke Padme, but once again that was not what killed her. Her death remains as yet un-explained at least in the movies. There may be some lore reason as to why she died. I suspect that Palpatine may have had something to do with it. After all, he is the only character her death would benefit.

I think you watched this in the right order. If you go 1 2 3 4 5 6, you're surprised by Anakin going dark but you're not that surprised, it's been clearly set up. If you go 4 5 6 1 2 3, you're surprised by Vader being Luke's father which is a much stronger twist.
@Squeekysquid
@Squeekysquid 3 жыл бұрын
I'd say 45 123 6 because you retain the Vader twist, but also get all that dramatic build up for the finale of Jedi. Essentially 4 operates as intended, it gets you into the universe, 5 adds some emotional weight to the story. Then 12 and 3 let us see Anakin's turn. It let's us see him fall so we can then appreciate him Return as a Jedi in his final moments.
@REDDAWNproject
@REDDAWNproject 3 жыл бұрын
You are forgetting some other twists if you watch it 1-6. 1. Palpatine being sidious. Its fairly obvious to us long-time fans, but most people watching 1-6 figure out at the end of ep 2, so it gets their hype for ep 3 crazy high. 2. Because we see Vader turn, the I am your father scene takes new meaning; maybe Luke will turn too? After all, the hero before did it, why couldn't it happen again? 3. Anakin turning isn't the big surprise. The big surprise is that he is darth vader. people know who darth vader is, not necessarily anakin. The problem with the I am your father twist is that most people have absorbed it through pop culture osmosis. Most people know that darth vader is Luke's dad. People don't know who anakin is, so once they start piecing it together, they get excited for the OT, let alone the story is literally structured to be 1-6. And the only real advantage of machete is Leia being revealed as Luke's sister at the end of 3, which is neat, but other wise it suffers the same way as release order. So in summary, 1-6 is the way it should be enjoyed and introduced to people.

In the end Anakin turned back from the dark side as Darth Vader disappeared when he saw how the emperor nearly killed his son in episode 6 and became Anakin again. Fulfilling his prophecy of bringing balance to the force with killing the last and most powerfull sith in the galaxy and so Luke later can build a school of Jedi's. The reason Anakin has yellow eyes is because when you have let much anger control you or any strong emotions influence you, the dark side takes over you and you enter a state where you have entered the dark side fully like Anakin is with his yellow eyes. You lose control of yourself and don't know much of what you are doing to others. That is why Darth Vader/Anakin asked when he nearly killed Padme if she is safe and alright even though he technically killed her, but he had forgotten about that. BTW the story of Darth Plagueis the wise is true story, as Darth Plagueis was Palpatine/darth Sidious master, but as he told Anakin he later killed his master. Also there is big theories with hints out there that Sidious put the nightmares of Padme dying into Anakin's mind. But also that Sidious made it so Padme died in the end, there is two reasons for this. 1. How else did Sidious know of Padme dying when she died on a secret base at the same time as he was making Anakin into what we know as Darth vader. 2. Sidious smiles when he sees Darth Vader getting mad over her death. 3. Sidious knew all about Anakin's dreams and what to say at the right moment. He is the greatest and most powerfull sith after all.

One of the things that always gets me when I see 21:55 is remembering the old Star Wars: Battlefront 2. So many of the clones respected Aayla Secura, and it's a popular headcanon (if not actual canon) that the reason all those troopers shot her so many times was to try to kill her as quickly as possible so she wouldn't suffer. They basically just hit her with as many blasters as they could as fast as they could in the hope that she'd die before she felt the pain.

Some of the best storytelling in Starwars are in both animated series.. Lots more Anakin and Padme Love and interactions,, Lots of new characters that are going to be mandatory to know because future projects with Disney+ are related to it..Some of the characters are directly from clone wars and rebels.. How I would do it ,,, record and watch 7 episodes ,, Then edit them and released them every day.. It still will take you over 120+ days To get through clone wars alone... Do the seven episodes record them and release them everyday rinse and repeat... Or you could do atleast three episodes a week... Either way I hope you decide to watch them

Secondly, Anakin had made it very clear that he was breaking the Jedi Code in killing an unarmed prisoner, and Mace Windu (the most dogmatic of all the Jedi) is preparing to violate the Jedi Code in exactly the same way. Since Anakin saw that the Jedi Code ultimately didn't mean anything to Mace Windu, he no longer had any motivation to stick with it either.

There are many great arguments on which way is best to watch these for a completely new viewer. I’d say episode 4 is better as an opening movie to watch than episode 1. I’d also say that episode 4 is an underwhelming movie if you watch it right after episode 3. Machete order is a good order to watch them in as well. Episode 4, 5 then episode 1 2 3 and finally 6. That way you get Vader’s big reveal in episode 5, then get to see the background story of the characters, then the siblings reveal in episode 3, then the sibling reveal from a different perspective in episode 6, and finally the big Vader turn and his overall arch in episode 6. Episode 1 is boring, episode 4 has a better mystery to it and will grab the attention and interest of a first time viewer IMO.

Only reason why Mace lasted as long as he did was because he was actually tapping into the dark side at the time. Mace had developed a special technique that kept him from fully turning over completely to the dark side. its one of the reasons his saber was the color it was. taking the most often seen blade color of the Jedi being Blue with the Sith's Red and combine the 2 it makes purple

In theory, watching a saga or reading a book, the logical thing is to do it in the order of the chapters... possibly. But I think that in the case of the 2 Star Wars trilogies the appropriate thing is to see it as they were filmed and released. In that order there are the surprises that Anakin is Darth Vader, that he is Luke's father and that he does not lie when he reveals it to him, that Luke and Leía are brothers, etc. And then, the sequel trilogie explain how the characters arrived to the story that is told in chapter IV. The only important character in the original trilogy that I think the origin and origin of him is not seen is Han Solo. Because you see the Wookiees/Chewbacca, Yoda, Obi Wan, Anakin-DarthVader, the Emperor, R2D2/C-3PO, the Storm Toopers, Jabba the Hatt, bounty hunter Jango Fett, etc. Instead, seeing it in the order of the chapters , you see the evolution and progress of the characters and events but there are really no surprises or shocking revelations, since you have seen the path that the characters have taken in the story. That you prefer the prequel trilogy because of the effects, for example, is respectable but it doesn't seem fair to me: at the time episode I was made, 22 years had passed since episode IV. The special effects were "practical" at that time, that is, almost entirely made/manufactured, since computer graphics and green screen were not developed or have not been developed as in 1999 and later years. A separate consideration is why the prequel trilogy was able to focus more on the story between Anakin and Padme than on the development of events, fights and battles. But on the other hand, as you said, focusing on that part of the story makes more obvious Anakin's inconsistency in sacrificing everything and everyone to save Padme's life, when in his moment of anger he practically causes her death, or actually He does this by making me lose hope and desire to live even though I have 2 newborn children; There are those who have the theory that the Chancellor/Emperor makes Padme die by “helping” her stop wanting to live, to further push Anakin/DarthVader into the dark side.

You need to watch Clone Wars to understand a lot in Star Wars world. Also Clone Wars explain a lot what happened between Episode II and Episode III and explains all unknown things from films. You will understand differences between Clones and Stormtroopers, origin of Order 66 and a lot more! First two seasons were produced as kids target, but later series became very mature. Season 7 (the last one) was...oh my gosh! So mature! And explained a lot! It was soooo sad to see Ellie crying! Wanted hug you soo much! Good to see you two, waiting for next reactions! Be safe!

The BEST way (IMHO) to watch the Star Wars films : 1. If you can find them, first watch the ORIGINAL theatrical release versions of the first trilogy (the 1977/1980/1983 versions, before they got the 1997 Special Edition treatment) - this way you can see how we all saw the movies for the first time back in the day and what the special effects technology was actually like back then. Also, newbies can still get the "big reveal" of Luke's paternity without it being spoiled by the prequels. 2. Follow this with the PREQUEL trilogy to see how the Jedi fell and how Anakin became Vader. 2a. Slip in the Obi-Wan Kenobi series here. 2b. Follow up with the "A Star Wars Story" film : Solo, to see how Han met Chewie, and how he won the Millennium Falcon from Lando. 2c. Follow up with the "A Star Wars Story" film : Rogue One (this one is a MUST), to see how the Death Star was born, its plans stolen by the Rebels, and a seamless transition into Episode 4. 3. Now re-watch the OT, but this time, the 1997 SE releases with all the added scenes and updated SPFX. 3a. After ROTJ, watch The Book Of Boba Fett series 3b. Follow up with The Mandalorian series (hopefully they wrap this up and not let it go on for too long!) 4. Finally, finish with the SEQUEL trilogy. All done. Time well-wasted. 😛 I left out the Clone Wars and Rebels serials, because they are animated and kind of "stick out" from the filmography/serials, and are too long-running (how many seasons do they each have now?)... However, if you're dedicated, you could slip these in where appropriate (during or after the Prequel Trilogy - I'm not sure exactly) if you wanna go for the FULL effect.

The visions were plated into Anakin's mind by Palpatine to bring him closer, to go even further down to the Drak Side. He made him promises at first, but did not mention the price he had to pay for the power of a Lord of the Sith - The sacrifice of Padme, to be powerful. (((
