I actually like the whole saga, sure the original trilogy has that old timey retro sci fi feel, while the prequels focused more on the effects than the story and/or characters, but i like the saga as a whole, the overall story arc and universe are quite interesting in the films. the clone wars tv show starts very slow and boring much like the walking dead, but it really picks up after season 1, and it ends up being very entertaining. The expanded universe though, both comic books and books, well, i just find them lacking, maybe there's one or two out there that are actually good, but i haven't found them. not that it makes much of a difference though, its just a bit of lore here and there, but nothing that is actually canon with the main series of films. overall, i like star wars because it's good old fun sci fi action/adventure, it's not the second coming of christ and it doesn't need to be. i like sci fi, space, weird planets and creatures, a good story from beggining to end, and for me star wars delivers on that, it has its flaws, just like everything, but that doesn't mean i can't enjoy them.

Actually on the 2nd one on Steam I had to find out how to change it to 3rd person as it started out in 1st person. You try to play Earth Defense Force in first person. Episode 3: Mace Windu's death. The one true black jedi. Used him as a shit way of explaining Palpatine's discolouration in the later films. And killed him. AS IF, the ONLY black jedi, played by Samuel L. Jackson of all people, was dumb enough to turn his back and not pay attention to a sith lord. They all ramble on about how scaaaaaarrrry sith lords are for the entirety of the prequel. Then the only new Jedi character I liked dies because he stops paying attention to the biggest threat the universe has ever known. Fuck. You. George. Lucas. At least with his shit special edition edits, you can just watch an old version or a fan edit. There's no way to fan edit the prequels to make them not shit without cutting them down to 3 20 minute light saber duels.

When I was younger, my dad said I'd been behaving well and so would buy me a Star Wars action figure of my choice. So we went into a shop (I think it was woolworths) and I looked at the range of figures. They were all from episode 3 and the only ones that were left were boring ass politicians and a couple of those alien doctors who deliver Luke and Leia. I went with one of the alien doctors cause it sort of looked cool. I think those doctors are actually in like 20s of the actual film.
