It's probably more about the upcoming season pass expansions than the base game. It's also not broken but badly designed in some areas, that is different. I dropped because of the design decisions, not because I had problems with it. Bugs can be fixed, gameplay must be redesigned. If you think your gameplay is good, there is no need to act until you get the player feedback, at which point you might wish you'd have done it differently..... Glad they do it now instead of never.

It would mean overhall cities mechanic, bounty mechanics, stealth mechanics, A.I and most important the whole world should react to player and his choises. I havent played the game but from what i have seen even in the story anything you do seems to have no impact on the world around you. If they're hiring people who are bad at making games, they're also hiring people who are bad for QA, bad for market analysis, etc. The issue cannot be fixed because it's systemic, and then they're shocked to find their product doesn't resonate with consumers. The only conclusion they can come to is to keep trying to make the same mistakes in different ways. Like, you have a huge demographic of guys who would potentially buy this game that obviously didn't. That's Star War's main demographic, it's guys. Make the main character attractive, give her some fun costumes and make her personality appeal to those players. There's no reason this character couldn't have been the next Lara Croft (the old one, not the boring redesign). Stellar Blade was maybe a 7/10 game IMO that got crazy word of mouth because it actually tried to appeal to it's core demographic. Like, the industry has been put into this position where they have to rediscover fire, but they aren't allowed to bang rocks together or rub sticks, so they're all just standing around in the dark shrugging and blaming everyone else. That's not even getting into all the obvious problems with the gameplay that could've been called out by people who actually play video games.

I don’t know how you fix this without overhauling the whole thing. The bugs and design flaws are totally endemic. Like, a huge complaint for the game is insta-fail stealth sections. The maps are designed in a way that you are forced to basically crawl through massive open sections with lots of enemies. Sure, you can make insta-fail states go away. But then the challenge goes away entirely since then the only problem you’re then dealing with is time. There was a major patch about a month ago where they made the enemy AI more reactive to Nix’ sabotage - which helped the stealth parts, but they didn’t do much for combat so now I’m just dealing with bullshit shooting mechanics AND they took away some exploits that made stealth janky but fun.

If a game can take 4 years to make badly, and a few months to fix, the devs never understood gaming in the begining, and wre so deluded about thier stupidity, it took complete failure and enourmous negative feedback to realise the basic mistakes they made, apart from having millions of dollars to make it look passable graphically and sound-wise, so that it would be presentable for sale on some level at all.

To be honest, this is exactly the change in management that Ubisoft needed. I trully believe that The Ubisoft board had emergency meeting after their stocks fell and reviewed their processes pipelines. From experience I know that something like that probably had taken place and result of this is that they have found flaw in either QA testing or in some middle management, but the result is that Ubisoft is now going to basically wont realease the game until it's finished, because now that investors lost millions of dollars it's actually in their own interest not to rush developers and realease pipelines. I'm pretty fcking sure that QA communicated these issues about their games but they were either ignored or something else had priority. It's baffling that game developers with arguably one of the best engines out there can't make consistend cutscenes or A.I. I really hope they will fix the game because i would love to play it some day in a state it was meant to be played. P.S.: I feel like that almost any modern game nowadays should pick a realease date and then arbitrary just add another year or year and half to it, because clearly there is simply not enough talent in these studios to finish the game. I mean 4 year production cycle for a "new ip"/new game that is not a sequel is too short.

My biggest issue with the stealth gameplay is not the AI but the fact that you can do stupid stealth takedowns but are not allowed to hide the body despite the fact that enemies react to it. Well, but for some people a nice sweet companion and petting animals is enough then you feel like a real outlaw, get out of here

Love modern game concepts Before we had beta access which was almost always free to hop in and try the game to let the devs know what the issues were to be fixed.... ....Now, we pay them for the Beta version of the game at full price and hope they fix the issues at some point.

If there is 50% discount and massive improvements, this game can be considered

The only way I'll buy another Ubisoft game is if I find out every single executive has been fired with no bonus or severance package.

I do not believe that there is enough interest in this game for any fixes to have an impact on sales. Most people have already forgotten it.

The problems with the game are so fundamental that it cannot be fixed, it didn't fail just because the main character is ugly.

You do realize you can’t save a product that failed upon release by promising to fix that is not how a good business work
@yourvenparianen539014 сағат бұрын
Its the most horrible way to go about it.... Trying to fix a game after its set in stone is crazy. Theres just too many systems at their core that needs overhaul and a whole new direction. They should do what sony does and just shitcan all the failures...cut costs and refocus on actual good games
@NosyNorseman20 сағат бұрын
Yep they thought that Star Wars IP would sell even a shitty buggy game… did not and now..hmm we probably have to improve this shit and try to sell it again on steam..unbelievable they shipped this out with that AI and stealth gameplay.

lol people have already made up their minds about this game. It’s been written off as bad. If they thing things will change they’re wrong. Example: Diablo 4

They released the game like this, I really don't think they care about fixing anything...they just want to pretend in hopes of some dummies picking this up. You can't flip crappy game mechanics IN 4 MONTHS. Stealth/combat is so far away from what this was suppose to be. Remember when the planet size was the biggest concern?

The real problem with this game is facial animation. For the rest, I really enjoyed it. You can feel the Star Wars aroma!

People have quite simply had enough of Ubislop. When did they think it was OK to constantly release buggy scrappy games and think gamers were just going to keep accepting this tripe.

We really liked Star Wars Outlaws. The Reputation system was the best part....wait why are we BANNED all of a sudden?

It's disgusting that we accept this. They sell an unfinished product and we're supposed to swallow it. I hope they never get the chance and then they go out of business before improving anything.

And this is why we don't pre-order and buy day one ... But sometime down the line when all updates are done....

I don't know if its fixable. Every game system is compromised. What are they going to do? Completely overhaul the faction system, combat, AI, and update the maps pist launch?

"each and every time you do it, more damage is done to the brand". Bethesda disapproves.

Honestly how could you fix this game by doing anything other than recalling it and chucking the whole idea into the bin?

I hope they fix it. Now with a fair price and without 3k bugs I may buy it. Thanks Ubisoft, your leadership is awful.

Honestly if it wasn't a Star Wars game it'd get way less hate. I'm liking it but i'm not blind to issues like the takedowns having no weight to them. Haven't experienced many bugs. Faces have 0 emotions

My take is release the fix, then a week later release on steam. Give your audience confidence to buy.

My wallet has blacklisted Ubisoft. There is a threshold for the number of chances you can give a company that it comes to a point where one feels like an idiot and sucker for continuing to buy or recommend their products. For me personally, they have surpassed that threshold. I hope they can figure it out for the sake of employees keeping their jobs, but I stopped caring about what Ubisoft does or says they're going to do.

My biggest issue with Outlaws is it wasn’t cancelled before it came out.

God I hope they don't fix it. The amount of joy I've gotten out of youtubers playing this and laughing at all of the crazy and stupid stuff is way more than I would have gotten if it was just a normal game. In no other game can you throw a grenade in a room and have the AI say "it was probably nothing."
@Alpha___0014 сағат бұрын
OK, first order of day - give protagonist stun baton or something. Stealth takedowns are ridiculous.
@ShootEvrythg2 сағат бұрын
Outlaw's problem is much bigger than the content. It's the premise - it's boring. It has an inconsequential character in an inconsequential conflict. Star Wars should be about star wars - grand galactic conflicts. It's in the name.
