I'm at 45hrs into it and am having fun, but I get your point that it's very "middle of the road" on everything. And if we as gamers send a message that this is fine, this is all we expect out of AAA games now, then we're not going to have another RDR2, we're not going to have another Cyberpunk 2077 (the finished version, not the one at launch). The hate is not deserved, but these AAA games are made to enormous budgets over many years, and we should hold them to higher standards.

Watching an extended playthrough the game struck me as something I'd like. Don't really give a monkey's what IGN, etc. think as they're not exactly an unbiased benchmark of quality.

The checkpoints are bad. You can’t save when you want to and I’d stealthed through an area only to die at a section where I didn’t know what to do. When I respawned, the enemies I’d previously knocked out were awake again.

Does Disney/Star Wars still produce male protagonists? It seems like since the last Star Wars movie trilogy and Kathleen Kennedy being in charge of the brand for Disney has resulted in a "women only" club.

Great and balanced review, it's important to know this isn't a bad game, but for a AAA title (or AAAA title as Ubisoft believe) retailing at £130 that's when it becomes a bad game when you compare it to other games in this section of the market.

My biggest issue with this game isn't even the game it self but Ubisoft in general. I'm just disappointed in how they just release the same game year after year with another coat of paint and never improving their gameplay formula.

The game is not perfect, I find bugs constantly...because I have played for over 60 hours and I'm loving it. The hate is not deserved

This game is Lura Croft in space, I played Tomb Raider when I was younger - this is exactly like it - to include the glitch’s. I like the open world mechanic and the story, just wish the character created was more attractive and not so feminine dominated with leaders. Be real, sand people with a matriarch - not ever

great game but i agree whit you about bug testers i feel like that game should have more performance patches. otherwise i got blast playing it but probably it was because i was realy hiped...

I wasn't, I just gave it a shot... Paid Ubi+ and finished it in a week. Then I asked for a refund. 12.5 euros refunded. So I finished the game for around 5 euros.... And I loved every minute of it.

10! ..out of 20 😂 ah man. But on the one hand I'm glad massive is done and can get back to Division franchise. It makes me wonder how they came about deving this game. If they volunteered of Ubi said "here you're doing this" it does suck for the starwars fans that they were presented with this though. Even i as more of a fan of massive ultimately didn't end up purchasing the game

@@ItsJustHenriHeck i believe they must have done a cost analysis. A lot of ppl will buy any star wars game anyway. So they can be the beta testers and bring revenue in sooner. But idk 😂

I might get this when it drops to $20 because it doesn't look worth more than that. Open World Star Wars? Can I buy or steal different weapons like Han Solo, Boba Fett, Din Djarin, or even The Enpire use, and keep them? My favorite thing about Star Wars is the spaceships. Surely you must be able to buy or steal Original Trilogy or Sequel Trilogy era ships, right? You must be able to buy or steal multiple speeders and speeder bikes, right?

@@GrizzyLatrizzy you can’t do any of that. You can pick up weapons that storm troopers drop or other enemies drop. But they are 1 times use until the “ammo” runs out. You can’t steal vehicles You only get one ship.

The hate is warranted, it’s another generic open world ubislop game that nobody asked for. Then there’s the whole assassins creed shadow debacle, which a lot of insiders have been saying the change of making yasuke the main character was because of blm and George Floyd thinking people would eat it up, but they were wrong, and they wonder why they might be bought out by 10 cent in the near future. Ubislop deserves the immense criticism against them

Hey let's take the ability away from the player playing as an OUTLAW to fight and kill other NPCs in the game world. Let's also make sure they're unable to use their speeder as a weapon on any NPC and create cool funny dynamic events. Let's make sure they can't get a drink in ANY of the many bars on different planets. Not even in the most famous bar in cinematic history on Tatooine. Also let's take away the possibility of stealing one of the many other vehicles in the game so the player is unable to create fun, dynamic outlaw fun. Don't forget to lock down the possibility of being blasted, punched, kicked, pushed as you spend time around other NPCs. Let's make sure there is zero jeopardy for your character. Definitely do not introduce ragdoll physics into this game world. We are just a multi million dollar company. No, instead let's introduce possibly the worst most god awful lazy 'thrown from a speeder' animation instead. ....so now that we've done all of the above, we can guarantee that there will be zero reason for a player to ever revisit this game again. Ever.

The game is fantastic! It doesn't deserve the hate even with the bugs.. loved the story, Kay looks cute, also the chemistry between her and Nyx was nice. The world's are designed beautiful and it's been fun. The exploration is awesome and nothing gets old. I'm going for that platinum 👍

Good opportunity to see how people use the word "hate" as they never experienced before what this word means. Sorry but not sorry, this thing is a soup of bugs as I never saw in a title deserving the name. The occasion needs to be appreciated for what it is, as a karen-poop-work-of-art and a suicide letter from Ubisoft. Michel Ancel must be ashamed.

It is not whether the game is good or bad. It's that it's the same game that they've been releasing for 10 years, sometimes twice a year. It has the same gameplay loop as assassin's creed, far cry, and the rebooted ghost recon games. Ubisoft is spending immense amounts of money "developing" new games but they're just releasing the same thing over and over.
