To be honest, I think Anakin Skywalker and Darth Vader should be two separate characters on this list. Even Obi-Wan seems to think that Anakin and Vader are two different entities, even though they share the same body. He did explain to Luke that Vader killed his father, from this certain point of view. If we take into consideration, Anakin is Anakin Skywalker before the death of Mace Windu, and should be in the good side. While Anakin is Darth Vader after the death of Mace Windu, and should be in the evil side.

One interesting thing to note is Mace understood the political ramifications of executing Palpatine, but he also knew if he was arrested he would turn the entire situation against the Jedi and it would be even worse for the Jedi. It was a lose lose situation having the Supreme Chancellor as the Dark Lord of the Sith, as Mace said "He has control of the senate and the courts, he's too dangerous to be kept alive!" Being a Sith was a matter of Religion, a personal choice of Palpatine's and not illegal, the Jedi would be wrongfully arresting him based solely on their religious views of his religion, which would not look good in the eyes of the rest of the Galaxy.

Yeah. Maul is an excellent example of evil by nurture. He was never given the choice. And Windu's position in the Grey area makes sense. Especially when you consider he developed Vapaad, the lightsaber style that actually taps into the dark side. And that every other practitioner turned to it.

@James Lucas I agree. The better thing to do would have been to put Anakin out of his misery. Trying to rescue him, and turn him from the dark side would have been unlikely given the aftermath of Order 66, as well as the extent of his injuries, unless Obi Wan pulled him away from the lava in time.

Qui Gon should be above Obi Wan and tried his best to make Anakin become a Jedi. He followed the force that’s why he didn’t follow the order he also sacrificed himself for Obi Wan. Also wtf did Obi Wan let Anakin brutally die. If it wasn’t for him there would be no vader. He stood there while Anakin was choking Padme to death. STOP CALLING HIM QEE GON

Chancellor Palpatine is the most evil in the Star Wars prequels because he manipulated the Republic by thinking their the bad guys. Obi-Wan is the most good in the Star Wars prequels because he wanted Anakin to come to his senses by telling him to control his emotions and if he doesn't it will get out of hand. He needs to control his passion, otherwise the situation will soon be out of control and he wants more power.

How is Darth Maul worse than General Grievous? Think about it. Maul only has a kill count in the thousands, Grievous on the other hand has a kill count in the BILLIONS. So he has a higher kill count. Maul also was TRAINED to kill jedi, and was tragic because Palpatine stole him from his biological family and tortured him. General Grievous is pure evil with no redeeming qualities, is taken completely serious, and is not sympathetic and he’s one of the most evil Star Wars characters ever. Only beaten by Palpatine and Tarkin in terms of evilness.

With Valorum it is not really his fault he could not take action in Legends. By the time of the Naboo Blockade he was unable to do anything, even sending Qui-gon and Obi-Wan was something he had to do in secret.

2 corrections: 1. Grievous didn't want to kill jedi for his own power he wanted to kill jedi because of the great suffering they put his people through. 2. Maul was not pure evil, palatine kidnapped him from a young age and showed him the power of the force to scare him into being a cold blooded killer. I recommend you look at these characters backstories both of which are tragic and heartbreaking.
