Here are all of the voices you heard. Brace yourself!: Yoda (Attack of the Clones): "Truly wonderful the mind of a child is." Obi-Wan Kenobi (Clone Wars ep. Overlords): "What is this place?" Qui-Gon Jinn (Clone Wars ep. Overlords): "A conduit through which the entire Force of the universe flows." Yoda (Empire Strikes Back): "Luminous beings are we, not this crude matter". Yoda (Revenge of the Sith): "Train yourself to let go of everything you fear to lose." Ben Kenobi (Rebels ep. Twin Suns): "What you need, you already have. Unfortunately, you seem to be letting it all go." Kanan Jarrus (Rebels ep. Path of the Jedi): "I won't let him lose his way. Not like I did." Obi-Wan Kenobi (A New Hope): "The Force is what gives a Jedi his power. It's an energy field created by all living things. It surrounds us and penetrates us. It binds the galaxy together." Yoda (Revenge of the Sith): "Rejoice for those around you who transform into the Force." Maz Kanata (The Force Awakens): "I see your eyes. You already know the truth." Chirrut Imwe (Rogue One): "I'm one with the Force, the Force is with me." Jyn Erso (Rogue One): "The time to fight is now!" Kylo Ren (The Force Awakens): "Show me....grandfather." Rey (The Force Awakens): "We'll see each other again. I believe that." The Father (Clone Wars ep. Overlords): "And now you see who you truly are." Anakin Skywalker (Revenge of the Sith): "I won't lose you Padme." Kylo Ren (The Force Awakens): "And I will finish what you started." Poe Dameron (The Force Awakens): "The Resistance will not be intimidated by you." The Daughter (Clone Wars ep. Altar of Mortis): "It is his nature." Maz Kanata (The Force Awakens): "The belonging you seek is not behind you." Leia Organa (A New Hope): "This is our most desperate hour." Yoda (Revenge of the Sith): "The shadow of greed that is." Leia Organa (A New Hope): "Help me, Obi-Wan Kenobi. You're my only hope." Anakin Skywalker (The Clone Wars Movie): "You never would have made it as Obi-Wan's padawan. But you might make it as mine." Darth Vader (Return of the Jedi): "Obi-Wan once thought as you do. You don't know the power of the dark side." Daughter (Clone Wars ep. Overlords): "I am Daughter." Kanan Jarrus (Rebels ep. Spark of Rebellion Part 1 ): "You want a ride?" Kanan Jarrus (Rebels ep. Spark of Rebellion Part 2): "You can learn what it truly means to be a Jedi." Kanan Jarrus (Rebels ep. Spark of Rebellion Part 2): "Kid, I'm about to let everyone in on the secret." Kanan Jarrus (Rebels ep. The Siege of Lothal Part 1): "I survived one war. I'm not ready for another one." @@jdhlegendz6700 Yeah. I think Darth Maul wasn't actually THAT powerful in episode 1. Obiwan and Qui Gon were just not very experienced fighters. Look at Grevious. When he's introduced, he beats like 6 Jedi with a few of them being masters, but that was right when those characters were first entering the war. By the end of the war, Obiwan was an even match for Grevious. It all points to the very realistic idea that training isn't as valuable as real combat experience.

The shenanigans in this episode mean that canonically, from Ahsoka’s perspective, she fought Maul, Vader, and Palpatine in the same day…and lived. Snips sure has grown up. The dialogue with Ezra before the portal that appeared to show Kanan’s death also gives us a little summary of the difference between Jedi and Sith. Ezra wants to use the portals to change time and save Kanan; he doesn’t think of the ramifications. Ahsoka gently reminds him that a Jedi has to be ready to let go. I think this resonates with what we see Ahsoka tell Din in BOBF ep 6

I believe that Lothal isn’t the only planet that has a doorway to this world. There are probably other gates, hidden on different planets all across the Galaxy. I was rewatching the Mortis Trilogy, and the scene where Anakin meets the Father for the first time, there are more of those triangle portal doorways in the main hall of the monastery. I feel like we will visit the World Between Worlds again in the Ahsoka show. Also, after everything that Ahsoka has seen and done, she would be a great teacher if she ever took an apprentice of her own.

Tears. Every damn time. Ahsoka jumping through Sith flames with both lightsabers lit is such a beautiful shot, it's one of the very few things I wish we could get done with the budget of modern SW animation. Love that they came up with a way to bring her into the film timeline so smoothly and good *god* I'm looking forward to seeing the Ahsoka show. Oh, one quick aside before I forget. I seem to remember a fair few saying time travel was a step too far for Star Wars. May I offer this rebuttal: from the very beginning of the movies we have literally had people talking from beyond the grave! If that's possible, time travel is small potatoes in comparison.

All the Kanan stuff in this one still gets me emotional, especially in the final minutes, and I didn't notice Hera having a hand on her shoulder before. On the WBW, I think of it as a manifestation of the Force (I guess the cosmic Force in particular). It connects all of time and space, and it's a world _between_ worlds. In ESB, Yoda gives examples of the Force existing _between_ things, and Luke says it in TLJ.

In regards to the World Between Worlds , time travel and Vader using it to bring back Padme for example , Filoni clearly explain just after this episode that The WBW is only about knowledge. You can gain knowledge of the future or futures that may happen, and you can see events that happened in the past. Altering these events are a dangerous game because you’re missing all sorts of things that would have happened or things would’ve happened otherwise that is why Ahsoka return through the door she came in, in that same timeline and not very long after she left it. People love to make theories about others characters being saved like Ezra saved Ahsoka but Ahsoka saving is probably one of kind due to her link with Morai , The Daughter who herself seams to be linked to the WBW itself. In the end Filoni described the WBW like an extension of the Jedi's ability to perceive the future and the past. Little detail, when The Emperor starts speaking he very briefly has the voice of Kanan so Ezra probably can't save Kanan anyway because it is very likely an illusion by the Emperor to trick Ezra into letting him enter the WBW.

When the three of them goes to the temple (Ezra, caleb ashoka) she states that ezrea and caleb has to open it as she no longer is a Jedi and it is a Jedi temple - the inquisitors can enter that temple as they opened it and didnt close the door after themselves, but they are attacked/surrounbeded by the temple guard reflection /grand inquisitor) - so palpy can not open the temple by himself according to the internal logic but once it is opened he seems to be able to use that to interact in the "world between worlds"

For me the midaclorians never really bothered me because I've always interpreted them as creatures attracted to the force, not the force itself and they were ultimately a way that the jedi were trying to understand the force in a way that's conceivable. Basically I find the idea of people trying to make sense of something that ultimately cant be is a really interesting idea, if in this case not fully realized.

The midichlorian talk reminded me that with the mention of m-count in mando season 2, I would love if that story tries to show moff Gideon taking midichlorians to make him a stronger opponent but it ends up not working to fully show that the midichlorians are not the cause but a symptom of the force.

@@danyyeltr4803 temple blows up. Vader limps out. Morai flies into the smoke. (Morai is seen inside the World Between Worlds helping Ezra) Ashoka is seen going through a doorway. Kinda seems like Morai went into the World Between World to me. Or is your explanation that Morai found some other time to slip into the World Between Worlds, from some other point in history, to help at this particular point in history. And in this point in history it was just hanging out waiting for Ashoka to be saved this time, and flew into the smoke just for fun as it followed her away?

“Ben isn’t more powerful than you Voe. That’s not how it works. The force can be a trickle, a stream, a river, a flood… for ANYONE who can sense it. Think of yourself as a door. The wider you open, the more easily the force flows through you. Some people just start out with their door a bit more open. But any door can open wide.” -Luke Skywalker (Rise of Kylo Ren)

This is definitely one of my all-time favourite episodes of "Rebels". It felt like a season finale, especially the music and how the escape from the temple is done. It's a real rarity to have time-travel in "Star Wars" and, as a fan, I thought it was cool hearing soundbites from characters from all through the movies and TV shows (including the sequel trilogy, which is obviously in Ezra's future). Plus, it's always awesome having Ian McDiarmuid back as Palpatine.

Rebels gifted us with some of the deepest content about The Force; along with Clone Wars and The Mandalorian is one of my favorite pieces of Star Wars, ever. In relation to this episode let's point out that the logo of the upcoming "Ahsoka" show is the representation of the world between worlds dimension, this will not be the last time we see this place.

I think about Force-sensitivity, some people are super close to being able to actually feel the Force, but they just can't. But, it manifests in other ways, such as Han's gut feeling and his bad feelings. I think Luke even mentions that Han has some kind of Force-sensitivity, but not enough to actually wield it like a Jedi. For Poe, his mother was gifted a tree by Luke that was once planted in the Jedi Temple. This happened in a comic, and the ending heavily implies that the tree has a powerful connection to the Force, which might have had an affect on Poe's own Force connection.

And if you think at the time period the story take place during the prequel, is logical that the Jedi and the Republic both seqrched for a way to identify Force sesnsitives before they grew attachments, and at birth was the perfect moment, but that's it, there is no real further study on it, the knowledge about midichlorians is just a means to an end
