@@eazymepeazyme3907 The essence of Kreia's philosophy is basically that since the force is in everything and also has a will of its own that guides people and influences their decisions, pretty much every action that a person does can be credited to the force; a higher power. In her eyes, the only way to give meaning to the actions and decisions that people do is to remove teh force from the equation. Seeing Qui-Gon in the 4th episode talking to Dooku about Obi-Wan made me very emotional. Maybe it was because this takes place during Episode I & this was one of the last few moments we see Qui-Gon alive. Seeing Ian back as Darth Sidious was so unexpected. Crazy to think that after Dooku kills Yaddle Sidious probably immediately sets course for Naboo where he met young Anakin Skywalker, attended Qui-Gon's funeral, and celebrated Naboo's victory over the Trade Federation. Episode 5 was also great. Introduces us to "old friends not forgotten" if you will & we even see young Caleb Dume & Depa Billaba. It's interesting to see how they set up Ahsoka & Rex's escape after Order 66. Ahsoka was so heartbroken at Padme's funeral procession. Was kind of sad to see. They sowed the seeds early of Ahsoka joining the Alliance with her seeing Bail Organa on Naboo. I also loved the scenery of the farming community Ahsoka was at. Reminded me of places I've visited many times in California's central valley. It's impressive to see how strong she became. Killed that Inquisitor so fast. A nice series of shorts I really enjoyed. Hopefully they make a volume 2 & we get to see more tales down the road.

That inquisisor fight had parallels to Vader and Reva, where it's lightsaber vs no lightsaber and Ahsoka/Vader almost toying with the inquisitor by just dodging the saber and also grabbing the hilt. I mean Vader is Sadistic so he gives Reva another chance to fight which is just futile and Ahsoka is just done with it. But also, Rebels Maul vs Obi Wan, because both of these are easily the 2 shortest fights in Star Wars. I wonder if any of those references were intentional.

I find something interesting about Dooku's first and third episodes: The first has him try to kill a senator who exploits his people, killing them for his own personal gain. In his third episode, he is in cahoots with our friend Palpatine during Phantom Menace. What was Palpatine doing during PM? Oh yea, putting his own world under a blockade and subjecting them to an occupation (where they were put into "camps") so he can become Chancelor. In other words, exploiting his own people for personal gain. Exactly what Dooku was fighting against in his first episode. It's a great way to show how the darkside corrupts a person. Much like Anakin, he became the very thing he swore to destroy. Anakin, who started down the dark path because he was afraid of losing Padme, only to try to murder her and their unborn children because she had a problem with him slaughtering innocent children. I think it's a good way to show that rules are there for a reason and completely ignoring them because you don't think they apply to you never ends well.

This just shows how important a character Qui-Gon Jinn was as not only could he have been the one to save Anakin from turning to the dark he also could’ve saved his master Dooku from joining Sidious. I think Sidious let Maul kill him and actually ordered him to go after Qui-Gon and separate him from Obi-Wan. Palps probably knew how dangerous Qui-Gon was to his plan

Filoni in an interview said that "Duel of the Fates" was Qui-Gon battling for the fate of Anakin. Now we see that the Duel was also unknowingly for the fate of Dooku. Damn I love the writing

@@joejoejoe532 I find it both tragic and beautiful that the character Qui-Gon Jinn is such a centerpiece to the story of Star Wars and originally was only in 1 film. And yet the actor, Liam Neeson is also a centerpiece to the Star Wars franchise and he originally was only apart of 1 movie. And yet hearing Liam’s voice for Ep 4 TPM Qui-Gon really hit heart cuz I can not see anybody but him being Jinn. Brought a tear to my eye when he said Obi-Wan fills that role now, cuz Obi-Wan was just like Qui-Gon as a padawan: he knew his master disobeyed the councils orders but remained obedient and loyal to the end🤙🏼

I did not expect to fall in love with these as much as I did. I thought they'd just be fun little insights, but look at how much was added to the depth of the characters and the entire SW universe as a whole. Sure I love the longer playing versions such as the Disney+ series and the films, but when written and acted well you don't need all the bells a whistles to tell a powerful story.

These TotJ episodes are what I was waiting for, everything I expected when I saw the trailer for this series for the first time is delivered right here. These episodes had direct mention of certain CW and Rebels episodes with some subtle references to the Legends. This is exactly what I wanted from a series written by Dave Filoni.

the Yaddle and the door is quite possibly one of my favorite pieces of symbolism in Star Wars.
@khalidm.q.26392 жыл бұрын
Can you explain please?
@nathanvalley72692 жыл бұрын
@@khalidm.q.2639 The guys cover it fairly well in their discussion as they always do, but sure. The scene is framed with the only source of light being the open door that Dooku enters from and it is in this light that Yaddle stands while Sidious is cloaked in the shadow, Dooku between them. When Dooku pushes back Yaddle, he closes the door thereby blocking out both her and the light leaving him with only Sidious and Darkness. But as Sidious moves in, Yaddle, with the last of her strength, opens the door symbolizing the lights last attempt to reach Dooku, Sidious recoils at the glare while Dooku stands before her with a look of sadness. However she is not powerful enough to keep it open and falls, and so too doesn't any chance of Dooku turning.

Episode 4: Its obvious to see the strong bond between Dooku and Qui-gon. Dooku has already started his journey towards the dark side, yet he feels compelled to continue his support and concern over his padawan. Qui-gon was also ignored by the Council, just like Dooku... further pushing Dooku away from the Order. The 'angel/devil on your shoulder' comment was spot on... great storytelling there by the writers. There exists one key question from this episode.... with Yaddle's death, why was there no inquisition into her disappearance? Its obvious that Dooku reaches a "point of no return" during this timeframe even though Yaddle tries her best to bring him back... even offering some form of leniency in exchange. The Council lost a beautiful voice in Yaddle, though we likely will not see it in greater detail. And.. its not like they listened to her (or any nonconformist) anyways.

always thought the scene where Ashoka escapes through the ceiling by deflecting blaster bullets was a little impossible even for the likes of someone as skilled as Ashoka. There was a circle of clones completely surrounding her at close range. Makes sense now. This show makes me crave more anthology about Star Wars. I love seeing the different stories of these characters. When Yaddle lifted the door, Palpatine had to hide his face, because if she escaped, she would tell the Council everything she overheard, and he couldn't have her knowing his identity. I think this was one of the few times, he wasn't pretending, he was scared. That inquisitor continued that Star Wars had an amazing design and then got bodied in a few seconds. It's amazing how far Ashoka has grown. She went from being one of the most hated characters in Star Wars to one of the most beloved characters in Star Wars! 34:37 - Anakin vs. Dooku “The Jedi fall because of Anakin Skywalker. But Ahsoka, who’s no longer a Jedi, survives because of Anakin Skywalker.” 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼 Dude, that line gave me chills. It’s cool seeing how Anakin being a harsh teacher improved her skills so much that she was able to escape her chase on Coruscant and Order 66I almost shed a tear watching that victory and death cameo why do people cry so easily Because some people can access their emotions rather easily.... others are emotionally stunted monsters 🤷♂well that's a very psychopathic question :') weirdo 9/10 times a year I cry because of Star Wars I would love to see Asajj's story adapted into Tales of The Jedi.

Ahsoka is a Jedi Knight and Master in deeds and experience, if not in name. She has been trained since almost before she could walk. She was brought in as a youngling by Jedi Master Plo Koon and assigned by Grand Master Yoda as a Padawan learner to Anakin Skywalker. Her training and experience were forged during the Clone Wars, and she fought in its most significant battles. In addition to being taught and mentored by the greatest Knights and Masters of the Jedi, she was a commander in the Grand Army of the Republic and served with Clone Captain Rex of the 501st Legion. She fought in, out, and behind enemy lines throughout the war. By the time of her match with this puny Inquisitor, she had already fought in the Siege of Mandalore against Darth Maul, who uses a double-bladed lightsaber. She is one of the last surviving Jedi Knights at this time. She could have force-choked him out and crushed him instantly if she wanted. It was not a contest, nor should it have been.

I'm glad they didnt feel a need to bring in Hayden to voice Anakin, and kept Matt Lanter. While its great seeing Hayden reprise the role and get praise, the voice actor from Clone Wars is hugely responsible for improving the Anakin by a massive amount. He did a perfect job in the show, and I'm glad they kept using him the episode in this series. Obviously the writing of Anakin in the series deserves a ton of credit too, but if Lanter didn't do such a great job, I dont think Anakin or the show is as well liked

The parallels from subtle explanation of why the Jedi fell so easily to the clones, because of their near-Soviet level of “why worry/prepare for something that isn’t going to happen,” to Ahsoka’s survival and the Jedi’s fall being both due directly to Anakin’s unconventional tactics… That was some beautifully deeply-planned but not over-worked storytelling. It’s Star Wars at its best - not just a kids or even adults fantasy story, but a story telling deep truths about reality. Just like Ned Stark, the Jedi (and those in life with integrity and good intentions) failed to prevent or even directly enabled horrific evils because in their naively simple views of the world, they were incapable of believing they could be outplayed.

The name "Resolve" for the last Ahsoka episode is a statement to her character. She loses everything, to her knowledge everyone she knows other than Rex is gone and she has to leave him for them to be safe. Despite being alone at a young age after only knowing war and death, she never falters in her resolve to do good. She doesn't shut herself off from the Force, she delves deeper into it. Her fake name of Ashla is more than just a easter egg, it's the truth. Ahsoka is the embodiment of the light side of the Force.
