I honest to God think Ahsoka MIGHT have considered rejoining the Jedi Order if not for Mace's "So actually this whole thing was a trial from the force, and it ended up making you a stronger person, so I'm not even gonna apologize because we basically did nothing bad" bullshit. Such a dick move, especially as everyone else on the Council seemed genuinely regretful about their treatment of Ahsoka. (Speaking of everyone else on the Council, I've always been kinda disappointed that we don't get to see Luminara in this episode, or at any point afterwards. Would have been so interesting to see her reaction to her textbook perfect Padawan becoming a radicalized traitor)

Okay, but Ki Adi right before Windu literally says that her struggle is the true sign of a Jedi Knight essentially saying the same thing as Mace. I agree the consensus was that we're not really going to apologise and just say it was the will of the force, but they do that for everything. Unless it's our main protagonists i.e. Obi-Wan, Anakin, Ahsoka and company

@@sir_stanley56 Yes and no. Ki-Ad-Mundi (Following on from what Seassee Tin said) tells her that the perseverance she showed in the face of hardship is the true sign of a Jedi Knight, which is true, but even so, he never tries to make it seem like her having to go through that hardship in the first place was somehow a GOOD thing, or that it was the Will of the Force somehow. Ki-Adi basically complements her on doing a good job in a shitty situation that the Council put her through. Mace, on the other hand, basically says that the situation wasn't even shitty and that, really, it was totally the right thing for them to do all along.

Ahsoka and Anakin was a special relationship, one of the strongest master - padawan bonds I have ever seen in Star Wars. Dave also insisted that we get no fanfare at the end. Originally, George was against the idea. So Dave decided to only have it fade to Ahsoka's theme in the very last version with all the finished animation + Kevin Kiner's beautiful music. George saw it - and loved it. _"I did it. Because I've come to realize what many people in the Republic have come to realize, that the Jedi are the ones responsible for this war. That we've so lost our way that we have become villains in this conflict, that we are the ones that should be put on trial, all of us! And my attack on the Temple was an attack on what the Jedi have become: an army fighting for the dark side, fallen from the Light that we once held so dear. This Republic is failing! It's only a matter of time."_ Literally what Bariss told to the court about the Jedi being "villains" in the Clone Wars and being an Army for Palpatine is legitimately 100% true. The sad thing is that the Jedi Order were just too blinded to see it until it is too late.

In a way it was true, considering the current head of state of the Confederacy is Count Doku who was once a part of the Jedi Order, but he left after he became disgusted in what it has become along with the republic it served, he couldn't take it anymore and left the Order. Which eventually made him switch to the dark side and helped create the Confederacy in the first place. So in that sense the war was really the Jedi’s fault.

What I do get is how could the Council really believe that Ashoka committed treason when she was some where far away on another PLANET? The reason they even brought Anakin and Ashoka back from the frontlines was because they were not around at the Temple and could not have set the bomb. I guess they could argue that she helped indirectly, but it seemed like a far fetched conclusion. From this episode, I and others truly believe that the Jedi did deserve Order 66 for their blindness in the Force and politics.

Fun fact: it is confrimed that the Grand Inquisitor was one of the temple guards who arrested Ahsoka and Bariss. He was further disillusioned after hearing Bariss' speech, so he distanced himself from the Jedi Order afterwards.

Such a sad Clone Wars episode and the episode really changed the development for both Anakin and Ahsoka respectively. To Anakin, the Jedi council not supporting Ahsoka's Innocence and leading to her being expelled by the Jedi Order really caused him to begin losing his trust in the Jedi Council and his descent to the Dark Side by the time of _Revenge of the Sith,_ cause Ahsoka really was considered Anakin's moral compass whenever he looses his cool and the only person he has great care for besides his wife Padmé. If "Crisis in Naboo" wasn't enough for Anakin losing his trust in the Jedi, this takes the cake. For Ahsoka, the Jedi Council not trusting her story which resulted in her expulsion from the order and her own best friend Bariss Offee framing her also resulted in how she see's the Jedi but in a much different light compared to her master Anakin, even when she discovered that her own best friend did this to her, really left her both shocked, saddened, and heartbroken. As a result, Ahsoka refused to return back to the Order due to everything that had happened to her during the arc and that she was betrayed by the council and Barriss. Even Dave Filoni brings up a good point cause by the time we see Ahsoka again in Season 7 she is much more mature by letting go of her attachments to others and is more similar to Qui Gon Jinn as both are selfless individuals.

And adding to all these shakes in Anakins believe in the jedi order comes a brilliant Darth Sidious. This trail was perfect for him and he played it perfectly. Tarkin, a loyalist to Palpatine, attacking Ahsoka was the first genius move. Both outcomes would have been great for him. If Ahsoka was found guilty and would have been executed, Anakins faith in the jedi and himself would have been destroyed, because the jedi allowed the trail to happen and Anakin couldn´t save her. By freeing Ahsoka and sentencing Barris, Anakins faith in the jedi was still destroyed. Ahsoka decided to leave, which he wanted to do, but couldn`t, a jedi was still the murderer and the jedi council as a collective didn´t give two fucks with Mace leading the attack and not being able to ask for forgivness from Ahsoka and just apologizing. Sidious couldn´t lose and the jedi´s incompetence helped him make this a win-win situation and helped him destroy the republic and sway Anakin to his side.

This is something that adds so much more understandability and realism to Anakin's fall. Even outside of this episode, the clone wars just shows his distrust of the order gradually grow, especially during obi-wan's undercover mission, and finally (among many other things of course) he loses Ahsoka, basically his daughter/little sister to the mistrust and failings of the order.

Man, i remember how i was heartbroken when the season ended with Ahsoka leaving the Order, and right after the series is cancelled, and there was still a whole lot we were meant to get. We of course would get what was completed of season 6 on Netflix in 2014, and 2 arcs (Son of Dathomir and Dark Disciple) in comic and novel form.

I think there are still about 40 cancelled/ unfinished Clone Wars episodes out there that would have played out before the season 7 finale. They would have explained some of the character fates that are still unclear and which weren't shown to us in season 7. I really hope that we'll get to see them on screen (in some form) in the future.

Very small detail about Barriss Offee throughout the Clone Wars: While she only has speaking lines in this and the Geonosis arc, she is shown fighting over Umbara with Ahsoka in their starfighters. She may have heard about Krell and / or seen the destruction wrought against the Clones and the Umbarans (who, reminder, were defending their home from invaders) and changed her views on the Jedi because of it.

of my favourite moments of the episode is how forceful the temple guard removes the padawan braid. Like they rip it off. Feels so sad because the removal of the braid is a big ceremony and is so significant but here it’s removed in such a unceremonious and quick way. It’s just so sad.

I really don't blame Ahsoka. She's lost faith in what she believed in. After everything, the Council excommunicated her to save face. They let her down and failed her completely. They were weak and the actions have revealed their failure as an order. This probably played a great deal in re-inforcing Anakin's descent. The disillusionment of their actions. This is the moment he really pulled away from them. Palpatine wins. It all goes downhill from here. The ending really teared me up. Very emotional.

Like many people, this episode made me see why the Jedi order was flawed. I do think them not apologizing all that much for tossing her aside was terrible, even as a kid when Mace Windu and Ki Adi Mundi said their lines, I just said "Oh, shut up!" But for me, the big moment that made me disagree with the Jedi was when they made the decision to expel her without hearing her out. I agree with Anakin that they had already come to a decision because of several things a) before the hearing, they said they had no choice, not let's see what she has to say. b) that hearing lasted less than 5 minutes, and there's no way to make a decision in that time. c) during the hearing, the jedi masters, particularly Windu, kept trying to trip up Ahsoka, asking her if Ventriss helped her to acquire the nanodroids, not "How was she helping you?" (And yes this may be an interrogation tactic, but it is a sign to me of predisposition) d)when Anakin accused them of the meeting being a formality, Yoda said they had come to a decision but were not unanimous. There wasn't time in between those two lines for them to actually put a vote, even electronically. e) they did not dispute Anakin's claim. The reason this got to me as it should have is simple. The Jedi Order was Ahsoka's family, the only life she ever knew. They were her teachers and guidance. They knew that with public opinion and the military harboring for justice for the bombing, that there was no possibility of her getting a fair trial, that she would more than likely be put to death. If anyone should have investigated her claims before turning her over, it was the Jedi Order. They basically threw her to the wolves and they made that decision to appease the public and the government, more so than because they thought she was guilty. What's my evidence of this? They spent more time talking about the politics than about the evidence against her. And if she was guilty, why the hell weren't they looking for Ventriss? At the very least, she would have been the first witness against Ahsoka, the accomplice turning on her. But instead they said, we don't want this problem. In a fair sense, wouldn't it make more sense to try her with the Jedi, and then if they found her guilty, expel her and let the military have their go, or at the very least investigate her claims? On a side note, when they arrested her, did no one find it suspicious that there was a hole in the ceiling right above where she was and debris on the ground where she fell and signs of a fight in the floor above? Wouldn't that at least warrant that crime scene droid we saw to investigate and see what happened there? And the fact that Ahsoka was on a different planet during the bombing and when they found the nanodroids there wouldn't have been any traces of her dna or fingerprints because she never touched them? Basic police work in OUR galaxy would have given them reasonable doubt. My point is, there are a ton of steps the Jedi should have taken to investigate her claims before turning her over. But they didn't do any of that. They washed their hands of her. For politics

Its crazy to think that, if Ahsoka had decided to stay in the order she would have likely became a full Jedi Knight within a months time (thank to this being her "trial" etc.) and by extension of that, making Anakin a Jedi Master by tradition and throwing a massive wrench in the _senates_ plan 👀
