While I agree that the prequels weren't well liked at the time. There was a story. A story that the fans could follow. The sequels don't have that because to Disney, this is a cash cow. "Do another show, make more toys. What? People didn't like what we did, well, then shoved down their throats and make them like it." THIS is Disney's mentality. George Lucas said ok. "People didn't like what I wrote, let's give someone else a go." The difference is Disney doesn't care, we the fans much like George do. I'm not saying it be perfect. He'll no. Take a look at the response to the prequels. But there would be love and passion behind it. I've seen fan films that were so much better than Disney's. I've seen ones where Disney took the win, but I always respect the projects because there was love and passion behind it. That's why, at the end of the day, the fans are better suited than Disney to write for Star Wars.

This all happened after Solo and moving Star Wars to streaming. Iger threw a wrench into Star Wars and Kathy Kennedy is taking all the blame. Now they make extended tv episodes like Mando and Grogu as films. Whether they actually make feature movies like the sequel trilogy again on film, with practical effects and sets I'd say that is over. They will all be cgi faked in the volume and shot digitally. I'd love to be wrong but I think Lucasfilm's days of being a premiere film studio are over. Publicizing production problems didn't work for Solo and Dial of Destiny. And Rogue One barely escaped similar it had the good fortune of coming out after the Force Awakens but before the Last Jedi. Before fan discontent set in. Episode 9 barely made a billion on an enormous budget. They've needed to save the series for years, where have they been asleep at the switch?

Sure, in the broader context of life it’s not the most important thing or shouldn’t be but you’re wrong to say it’s wasting life. Star Wars is a beautiful retelling of a great myth of good vs evil and it is worth saving and fighting for it. Most of us who are doing so have our priorities right and so we choose to vocalize our criticism of what Disney has done.

I do agree with yall and theory cause I’ve always been a huge fan of his but I also don’t agree with everything. But we can’t keep using Han as a example FORD literally has stated many times he wanted han to die hence why it happened he even wanted it to happen in the OT but Gorge said no pretty sure he only came back for 9 cause it was a Cameo also easy pay. But we also have to acknowledge an remember that there are a great many of the fanbase who loved the sequels and characters like Ray and Kylo I myself included Ive been to Galaxy’s edge many times an every time i always see so many people go up take photos with Ray when she’s walking about. But also not every fan had the same feelings about the Luke’s death! I mean I didn’t like it an I hated last Jedi but at the same time I didn’t really care lmao I was born in 99 during the prequel era so my favs will always be Ani Kenobi Yoda Mace Ashoka etc so my ties/feelings for Luke was always never high But i did feel for the fans of the character! Hopefully one day the fandom can be together as one
