It's called "Explosive Results" and for good reason. In this week's mutation mission in StarCraft 2 things blow up... Everywhere. I decide to focus on playing with Zagara. Zagara can easily rebuild her army, as it's bound to get blown up by something at some point.

In my the second try on brutal, i use Nova and my friend use Artanis, when hybrids nuke our troops, the passive from Artanis don't let the troops die, its so powerful =D

Got it first time as Zagara and had a random nova. 6 macro hatcheries, no queens, no need for armour or health upgrades on lings. Worked surprisingly well against the terran fliers

with Alarak's ascendants this mutation feels just like a normal void thrasher game, just with random nukes that you can dodge easily

easiest strat for this map is scourge abuse. thrashers can be hit by scourges. so just have your partner build units to defend. then spam mass scourges and nothing but scourge. fly right through everything from the sides and take out the void thrashers. use zagara to solo the first thrasher. use spare minerals (and you'll have tons of minerals) to spawn lings and send them in to soften up defenses. but when the thrashers spawn make sure you have max supplies of scourges. the thrashers nuke when they die so don't send all of your scourges at once onto 1 thrasher. it only takes like 40 or so scourges to take a thrasher out.

Fun way this can be done is with the commander units. A commander mastery focused build works a lot. Nova, Kerrigan and Zagara work best. Alarak is subpar as a solo hero.

as a little tips fpr playing zagara, EVERYTIME before you go in activate her frenzy skill pls also fpr this Mutation its obvious to take artanis (guardien sehll ofc)

If you spend money on the scourge instead of the abberations, it would have went a lot smoother, along with stuttering back a bit more after a few banelings blasts, and if you go back and looks at the minimap, you'll see that a lot of nukes keep landing in your spawn pathing for the zergling, causing a huge loss of them. =). I ended up doing zagara as well and loved the mutation. Ty for all the vids Lowko (Edit: I see that scourge was added to the mix =P)

Should get a lot of Scourges on second try. When there are Reapers you know there will be Terran air. Scourges can also hit Void Thrashers.

What about Zagara + Artanis? Sounds good imho with Artanis you barely lose any units thanks to the shields...

Alarak is the best hero for this mission because of his knockback wave pushing all enemies away before exploding. Artanis sounds like a perfect co-op friend with Alarak. Artanis masses Tempests and it should be done. I could almost solo this mission with Alarak and his basic units that sacrifices themselves, but the problem is he doesn't deal enough damage to kill the Trashers alone in time. You need your team mate for damage dealing as well. I was unfortunate to only beat this on Hard today because of bad hero combinations, but Alarak and Artanis sure make an excellent combo.

Tempests definitely worked as i beat this mutation on first try with artanis and nova, facing ground zerg. Ground units explosions don't affect air units so my tempests mostly stayed alive.

ye i beat every mission on hard difficulty with marines/ghosts/ravens on nova but on brutal its different thanks to the shit tons of hybrids that explode in yo face with tons of dmg

Hey Lowko - Awesome video as always. One thing with these Co-Op missions - I dont really play SC2 cos Im Shit but i love watching it. When your playing with Commanders you dont play with i.e Raynor, any chance u can quickly describe their abilities. Bar the hyperion i dont have a clue what he does lol :D

Hyperion Has 3 abilities in Co-Op: 1. Teleport Jump 2. Yamato Gun 3. Defense Drone. They are just buffed versions of the multiplayer spells.

The best was to use vorazun as her ulti could prevent dmg for 15 seconds and also u can deal dmg. If u have nukes incoming the time for dodging then is also well worth

I played Zagara today, You can only build 1 baneling nest. Once you build it, it gets grayed out on the build menu for drones.

I did this EZ mode with Zagara. Just build a shit ton of scourges and wait for thrashers to appear, then just target the thrashers while dodging nukes.

lowko the hybrids weren't as bad because in the other mutation regular units could become hybrids

Zagara is actually terrible for this mutation. Her units die anyway, yes. But a critical difference is that her units deal a lot of damage before dying. This mutation ensures that about half of her forces will die to explosions without doing any damage. So she basically has to make twice as many forces to do the same job. I did this mutation on Brutal in one attempt as Vorazun, and won with barely any damage to the fortress. Feel free to watch my replay.

actually zagara's the best for this mission. everyone just does frontal assaults for this but that's stupid. the frontal assaults mean you run into the hybrids. just build nothing but scourges and go in from the side explode thrashers. leave the base and the hybrids untouched. use freebie banelings and spare minerals on zerglings and have them soften up attack waves or the front if your teammate wants to do something. i beat this mutation with sgt hammer's fortress having nearly full health. the fortress only really took dmg from the first thrasher which i solod with zag, and from the last wave of 4, when i had to rebuild scourges cause i only had enough to kill 3 thrashers at once. fort took barely any dmg at all.

Nahh, Zagara is perfect with Artanis so her scourges can have most certain chance to hit the void threshers while Zealots and Tempests maintaining the line , and Vorazun with Nova because all ghost could have 2 lives, but it'll be tricky if they got mech main enemies

imo you should've tried it with nova, mastery regenerates life of all units, you can use the shield to defend against the explosions of the forces and the nukes und the units overall are heavy on HP. i'll try tomorrow on brutal. greetings

i done with with jimnova combo, worked well, i defended and vulture mined, while nova done the objectives the best ting i done was send siegetanks to my natural only to get them destroyed, the same happening to my second command center (those nukes sometimes hit te expansion too), and about 5000 mineral worth of mines were destroyed by the nukes

blink dts + timestop is sooo good on this mission and they get teleported back when hit by nuke also i dont agree with going voids vs zerg enemys since scourges destory them hardcore

Haha Haha Why the hostility? I'm just pointing out that lorewise it doesn't seem to make much sense. From a gameplay standpoint I think it is a great change as it allows Raynor to do different builds with more success and it also allows him to be more useful when paired up with non-zerg commanders.

?? this mutation is too easy, vorazun nova, nova and ghosts are unkillable thanks to vorazun... no need for army only nova and some ghosts, some dts, too easy to beat but with my friend we finished every achievements in coop so :D only 3 more bounties and we beat this last one 100 bounty achievement. And so we wanted to lose our first try to be able to have more time of bounty but xD too easy to do, i wish you good fortune in your next try

In many regular mutations, you can get away with F2 and just massing something that's not "totally" off. But in mutations, you often have to watch where most of your units move and micro them in battle. And then you have to tailor your build (and commanders combo sometimes) to counter the mutators.
