Thanks so much for the review Crimson! Probably wouldve been easier to show the differences if you used a console command for your players unity trips, then jumped the unity. Balance was my biggest priority so a few things to note, 1. I didnt want the guardian to be stronger than the best ships you can build yourself. That is game breaking to me and would defeat the point of shipbuilding and earning the final perks for it. 2. With the mod, the guardian is faster and can boost much more often, damage has been slightly increased but the strategy is to boost in, attack, then boost out. Its a nimble ship not a battlecruiser. I didnt intend for it to just OP end everything instantly. 3. With the crew size, passenger size, cargo, and shield increases, its much better suited to ng+ temple grinds, main story skips, or just starborn roleplay plauthroughs to get you through everything you need in your universe. The shield increases fit the concept the most and will keep you alive during difficult battles but it wont auto win them. 4. The new ships for every unity trip was actially pretty tricky, i understand why bethesda stopped at 6 when you cant even get all the powers ranked up until minimum 10 or 11. and its a great way to keep you connected to your original universe. There arent any other mods that address the player experience of jumping universes and having that continuation. 5. I'm happy to listen to feedback if people think one part of the shipmis too strong or too weak. Thanks again for the review! Hope everyone has a great day!

Speaking for Item #4, I was just tinkering around with the weapons, templates, etc, and definitely see what you mean, holy crap its tedious, and kudos to you for making so many... I am messing around making a mod for myself to get a Guardian that comes close to my custom ship build in stats. One thing that I was never able to figure out... How the devil did you get the weapons to snap onto the main module? The CK won't let me snap them, so I resorted to placing them just in front of the snap points...

For those on console (like me), if you're gonna get this nice and interesting mod, I highly recommend also getting "The Unity Awaits" mod by MarkBridgeman which will allow you to just go to Cydonia, look off on the left for a chest containing all of the artifacts, and then you get back onto the ship, build the armillary and that's it. You do have to go through the cutscene and skip the credits after 5 minutes or so, but this is the fastest I've found to progress the levels to get all the way up so you can get the Continuum ship

Why didn't he increase damage output? That's my issue with the POS ship. Why add cargo and not update other specs? I think the best mod would be the one that lets you upgrade Guardian ships.

This is a great mod, I totally recommend it, download with the free texture mode. You can still build a better ship, but it no doubt makes the starborn ship usable for most of the game. It's got great storage, the weapons are better, you can easily take on groups of enemy ships. So two thumbs way up

To Continuum And Beyond! Thanks to @X-2357 for the mod and @Crimson for the commentary. While I'm not that impressed with the SB Guardian, I do enjoy the part about your ship leveling with you as you progress through multiverses. House Va'ruun needs to acquire the SB torpedoes and reverse engineer them. Could you imagine what a full spread of those torpedoes could do to a fleet?

I am enjoying this mod very much, currently on NG+19 and I really like the idea of continuing to see weapon damage increases all the way to NG+250. I am thrilled with the cargo, shield, crew, passenger amounts - they are fantastic. May I please make a request of a 10-20 percent increase in weapon damage then it is currently? I understand your reasons for keeping it the way you did, I really do. However, you were so kind and generous to us with everything else, may I ask for just a little bit more generosity with the weapon damage? I believe the best chance of you increasing the damage is if I ask for a small amount. Keeping my fingers crossed that you will. The Guardian is my favorite ship. Thank you for this fantastic mod!!!

Have you ever tried dogfighting with the vanilla ship in an asteroid/debris field.......the wings are constantly getting in the way bouncing off stuff

Yes it is worth it for the extra cargo space alone at the beginning of the game until you can build a ship I am at my lvl 50 for starborn and it instantly matched my character and gave me 150,000 cargo capacity with I believe 80,000 is shielded

That's a limitation of the console, it will only display so many entries before the buffer fills. I think there's a console mod that will report more than that, but I forget. Also, if the name has a space, you need to add " marks, example: help "guardian V" 4 gbfm.

I bought this mod on Xbox, now my game stutters in certain interior cells every 3 seconds consistently, areas like The Well or Cydonia. Very weird and unfortunate. Disabling it fixes the stutters. How the hell does this mod even cause something like that?

@@CrimsonFlyboy it could be conflicting with another mod possibly, but I have no other mods affecting Starborn Guardians. The stuttering stops when this mod is disabled. Very weird.

My game recently started stuttering as well. Haven't got this one installed, though. I haven't been able to narrow it down to any specific mod. But if I disable all mods it goes away. I'm hoping it's a Bethesda issue and they can patch it.

Combat is the last thing you should do with a Starborn Guardian. They're just not suited for it. Their strength lies in having a slowing torpedo and a potent boost; they're designed to run away. The solar beam, their only source of damage, is about as strong as a stream of urine. It isn't a coincidence that enemy Guardians are greeted joyfully as big clumps of free XP. The moment you touchdown in NG+ you should consider swapping it for a purchased ship.

The Midas Destroyer is the only Guardian based ship that can hold its own and dominate normal ships. For anyone that doesn't know, it's comes with the Midas Manor mod. The ship can be slightly buggy if your load order is wonky, but is unstoppable otherwise.

@donatotusi9140 the main thing I've found is having it behind any ship and decoration mods since the Midas ship and mod has decorations in it that can be affected by those.

Lack of shipbuilding for the "end game ship" feels like they ripped out part of the game, so I usually just use one of the parts pack (majiskia or whatever it's called) and slap a starborn cockpit on ships I custom build. 100% what 383Commando complained about with the wings being way too obnoxious.

Yep I only have 1 other non bethesda mod (just decided to finally try some) and this one is when the problem started, also disabling it resolves the issue. On pc by the way

I feel like the guardian should be op it's a starborn ship and honestly it makes doing new game plus a bummer for me I wanna be a universe hopping God not get blown up by any fool with a class a ship it's supposed to be crazy tech and it sucks

@@nywolf9798 not really into them. The "black" one isn't truly black, but has little star speckle things all over it and I'd prefer mine to be dark so obviously not going with the mirror texture
