In “The Attackers” Екатерина Вилкова plays an intensely dedicated (almost psychotic) Russian fighter pilot, and does a superb job. I’ve watched only the first episode of “Kill Stalin” so far, but I’m guessing she’s playing the role of a spy/saboteur here. (I could be wrong; later episodes will reveal the answer.) Anyway, such a totally different role, and again she’s doing a superb job. I am sure it's not easy to switch to such a different character. Very impressive. Спасибо to StarMedia for the English translations. For those who have not yet watched the “Attackers” series, make sure you do. Это превосходно.

I like Russia, but communism was horrible for Russian people and Stalin was worse than Lenin (though I like neither). I my grandmother hadn't immigrated in the late 1930s, I am not sure she'd have lived long enough to have kids. I can only imagine how many more of her kin (OUR kin) suffered under communist rule.

This show is paranoia that one can say of the plot the theme is Your Enemies are Your Enemies and Your Friends Are Your Enemies Too as they Can be Just as Dangerous to you but I agree with what everybody else here that this really is a good show, wonderful scenery, good story, plot, believable characters, far better then the dreck put out by Hollywood just as I agree that it really is sad that Stalin didn't get killed, the man was a monster equal in evil to Hitler, same can be said of his lacky Beria who had his people abduct school girls off Moscow's streets for him to rape.
@terrierkeeper7 жыл бұрын
Considering the horrible things he did both in his official capacity as NKVD Chief and on his free time what he got was rather small, remember this guy had his people grab school girls off Moscow's streets for him to rape as well as supervise the torture and murder of people to suit Stalin's paranoia.

Stalin was no worse than Churchill and Roosevelt. Churchill's speech in the house of Commons in 1942 about Stalin. “It was an experience of great interest to me to meet Premier Stalin. The main object of my visit was to establish the same relations of easy confidence and of perfect openness which I have built up with President Roosevelt. I think that, in spite of the accident of the Tower of Babel which persists as a very serious barrier in numerous spheres, I have succeeded to a considerable extent. It is very fortunate for Russia in her agony to have this great rugged war chief at her head. He is a man of massive outstanding personality, suited to the somber and stormy times in which his life has been cast; a man of inexhaustible courage and will-power, and a man direct and even blunt in speech, which, having been brought up in the House of Commons, I do not mind at all, especially when I have something to say of my own. Above all, he is a man with that saving sense of humour which is of high importance to all men and all nations, but particularly to great men and great nations. Stalin also left upon me the impression of a deep, cool wisdom and a complete absence of illusions of any kind. I believe I made him feel that we were good and faithful comrades in this war - but that, after all, is a matter which deeds, not words, will prove.”
