Such a small percentage of Etsy shoppers even read the description as evidenced by all the questions you will get that are clearly answered in the description. On the mobile app the product description is not even displayed unless you click the see description link. Focus on pictures and videos, aside from that great video.

Perhaps the thinking is that if you sell the way a store should sell, as in, many many sales, the fees don't matter.

Yes, but that is part of why you MUST have a higher ROI that might seem reasonable. The fees have to be rolled into your COGS before thinking about profit. At least they are a variable (related to $ volume) and not a flat fee that would probably be much higher for small stores but better for high volume stores. IMHO

Something else to look at when reviewing your impressions count is that list of search terms that your product appeared in the results of. Is there something that you see showing up there consistently, that you then check through other searches you make, is there a product that you can create that better fills that set of queries than what else is in the marketplace. Yes, 30 day review, as well as lessons learned towards making the store better.

Bi-weekly updates on the store, particularly click-through performance, would be nice to see. Unless a person already has a popular social outlet where they can push products to fans, it's very difficult to get sales without spending a lot on advertising. It'd be interesting to see if social media traffic to an Etsy product page makes much difference. For instance, would the advertising dollars be better spent on Facebook or TikTok? Maybe the click-through rate is better on Instagram or the ratio of sales to advertising spent is better on TikTok instead of advertising on Etsy. Spending $15 to get $18 minus fees is either a loss or a pittance in revenue. It'd also be interesting to see if there's a breakthrough point where the income suddenly increases and why. Cool project! There's a lot of valuable info in this for entrepreneurs.

Would you be willing to do a video like this one and walk us through a project where we have a design and want Slant 3D to print it for us. Where does one start in this process if we are not interested in an Etsy store at this time. But thank you for this video it is very well done.

Thank you! Looks good. Couple typos I noticed on the landing page: "Connect Your Etsy Store to our Print Farms with out Print and Ship Plugin" -- should be "our" instead of "out". I also see inconsistent capitalization in the red text, and white text, at the top. A bit further down: "Speced for 3000 machines. So we can ensure that you product is made and shipped quickly." Should begin with "Specced"; and, "you product" should be "your product". These are minor nits (but important for "first impressions"). Thanks again!

I'm curious if you have insight on what types of 3d printed things sell. Useful/practical things? Household things? "Things that look good on a shelf"? I have some hobby parts that I've sold on Shapeways but it was hard to expand due to the increasing cost of 3D printing.

Have you worked with an economist (or someone similar) to consider follow on effects to expect from a new, near zero up front cost, just in time (JIT), fulfilment model? Are there scenarios that you can't react to, and you'll have to prepare for instead? As an illustration, imagine a glut of stores drives a glut of copy-cat 3D printer fulfilment centers that together crash customer experiences and threaten to kill the JIT 3D printed product market. With foresight you might set up a Seal of Quality program that differentiates your good fulfilment customers from the glut of garbage and keeps your corner of the market alive.

The "good photo" is still an absolutely garbage photo. A step in the right direction from the "bad photo", but definitely not going to stand out. Still quite bad. I think you're understating the importance of good photography by not understanding what it is yourself. No offense, but it's not your best strength. Teach what you know you know, not what you think you know.
