I use to add ground flax seed to just about everything: morning shakes, pancake and waffle mix, turkey meat loaf, homemade banana walnut bread, cookies and brownies and on top of my salads! I really need to go back to doing this again as part of my life! ❤😊

Flaxseed wrap: 3T ground flaxseed, 1/4t baking powder, 1/4t onion powder, 1/4t paprika, pinch of salt, 1 egg, 1T olive oil, 1 or 2T water. Mix well and fry as you would a pancake. I use it to wrap my scrambled eggs, but anything you can imagine will work. I’ve made it for years….you’ll love it too. Debbie Edmonton, Canada

if you're baking with almond flour instead of wheat , if you add a couple tablespoons of flaxseed to the recipe it helps the baked goods hold together better. that flaxseed ads some of that stickiness to the batter that you would normally get if you were using wheat.

Just be careful , don't eat too much of milled flaxseed because it contains quite a bit of cyanide.

Sprinkle this in my cereals and also yogurts. Instead of eating an entire tub of my favorite yogurt, I notice I eat more like a small serving. It has the Omega3s which I am not interested in the other main sources like fish. For some reason, flaxseed seems to also alleviate my PTSD-depression episodes that I am prone to. I but in the powder form.

@@yoshini6807 Purchase mine not in seed, but grounded form. Ready to go. For me, it has a slightly nutty taste. Yesterday, I found some flaxmilk at my local grocery store. I prefer the slightly sweetened kind.

My understanding is that you must grind flaxseed right before you eat it because it loses its nutritional value 15 minutes after grinding. Buy the seed whole, keep it in the refrigerator in an airtight container, and then grind what you need, when you need it.

Simple Truth Organic has grain free crackers. The second ingredient is flax seeds. I eat them everyday with butter or in my salads as extra crunch.

​@@mariap.894Am Not here with exact research about Flax seeds. But usually it's always said/believed tht anything in excess is bad/dangerous. Even if it's medicine, fruits, food, sleep.. even anything exotic etc. So, everything has its limits. Flaxseeds are good source of Omega, fibre. Veg Alternative to fish/codliver oil also. One should use it in moderation, limit or different dosage depending on one's body type & health🙏🏻

Y'all mess up when using the flax meal/pre ground flaxseed. It becomes rancid quick once it touches oxygen, so all that pre ground stuff is toxic. Just buy it whole and only grind what you need

How much whole flaxseed can be added to yogurt or smoothie. I do a cat rescue and sprinkle whole flax seeds over their food. Also add brewers yeast. No fleas and very shiny and healthy coats for the animals.

I ate ground flaxseed for years! Have a coffee grinder just for flax seed. Put it in cereal, on salads, in smoothies; all of it!

Make sure you store in the freezer after you grind the seeds. Buying it already ground up means the light and air has already brought down the quality of the nutrients.. No telling how long it's been sitting on the store shelf..

By grinding the flaxseed in a coffee grinder first, allows it to easier digest. When you don't grind the flaxseed and have it whole, it passes through your intestines and you won't get the full benefits.

I put flax seeds on my oatmeal with berries and a lil drizzle of pure organic honey 🍯. Just a small bowl of oatmeal twice a week. Wash it down with lemon 🍋 water and a tbsp of apple cider vinegar

Flax is very estrogenic, tho! Those who need to avoid high-estrogen foods and for those who are allergic/sensitive to SOY, please look into using whole or ground chia, instead of flax! (with your dr's approval, 1st, of course).

I can't believe how great flaxseed is. I have been talking it for the past three days and today, I only ate ONE rice krispies treat. I usually eat more. It does help with an appetite where you won't overeat. I put it in warm water, cinnamon, ginger, cayenne pepper, lemons, tea and apple cider vinegar. Yesterday and Today I was not extremely hungry. Only the first day but the second and third day I was able to not eat the entire house 🤣😂🤣

While I watch and enjoy many of your videos, I am amazed that you are promoting precut flaxseeds. Any literature or videos I come across refers to the short lifespan once the seeds are cracked open. I agree with Michael Zimmerman above as to the short lived nutritional value and the need to consume them ASAP.

HELLO…I was taught that the body can *NOT* DIGEST WHOLE FLAX SEEDS (WHOLE SEEDS JUST PASS THROUGH the DIGESTIVE SYSTEM)…*GROUND* FLAX SEED is PREFERABLE so that the body can ASSIMILATE the NUTRIENTS (ALL of the NUTRIENTS are INSIDE of the SHELL)…PERSONALLY, I use CHIA SEEDS and *GROUND* FLAX SEEDS…(WHENEVER POSSIBLE, ground the FLAX SEEDS just prior to use to PROLONG the INTEGRITY of the SEEDS.)…
