Stretched hair/blow dried hair is mainly good for the parting of your hair, it's much harder b'cos our curly/ coily hair gets in the way of achieving similar hair sizes of locs.

I know that most people find blow-dried hair easier to manage but I've never had any issues with working with and parting shrunken curly/coily/kinky hair so I'm a bit biased.❤️❤️❤️

Over here, I keep my temporary locs for 6 weeks, I wash every 2 weeks tho. I take them down and redo new ones at the end of the 6 weeks cus I don't want them to loc up. My hair sheds less in these locs too.

Have you considered braiding and banding for washing? Or is that more of a Microlocs thing? (I have diy Microlocs/two strand twist locs)

It is more of a microlocs thing but people with small locs do it too. I haven't done it because I feel like it'll stretch the locs thereby making it slimmer. ❤️❤️❤️

I started my locs March 4th of this year and go them retwisted April 1st my hair hasn’t been washed but could I spray water in my scalp and massage it with oil?

I used Dudu Osun on my locs for the first three months. It was at the end it left residue. It was sticky ND gray. It's been 2 months but there are still grey residue
