More than 30 years later and she still runs! Classic and solid. Nostalgia and childhood! See, these were still popular when I was born in the 90s, too! I remember seeing a few of these as a little kid, in the late 90s. I once drove a '94 Benz C-class, myself, in high school! All of these 80s and 90s cars all have stories to tell, folks. Something that can't ever be found on today's vehicles, regardless of year, make, model, and trim. This, like many other cars you find Flexiny, are such underrated gems. Props to you for bringing these all back to life. It brings us all nostalgia, all over...

15:59 I knew it!!!!! I knew that Grandpa didn't give up!!! Just woke up from looong dream💪😉... It's make me sad to see this precious 200d to be left to die in that conditions... I've been raised back in late 90's early 00's on this particular model...same 200D , same colour. Me andbmy Dad we used to spent couple of goooooood hours to work on this model, he tought me how to use tools and how to make it works...after that we've had couple of beers or vodka and spent few long nights sitting inside, listening tapes during short summers worm nights and just talking about women , life , friends... Dad passed away 14 yrs ago , but love to him and to this Mercedes gonna be live in my hart and mind FOREVER...just exactly how this Merc been made... FOREVER!!!

People should love cars. Cars brings you to locations that you want to arrive, it haves air if you're cold, it haves adjustable chairs, they're spacious... We all should love the cars beacuse their engines are like hearts, and their hearts beats every mile in every day. I repeat, take care and love your cars!

I have an 87’ 300E AMG that sat up for 6-7 years after my dad parked it in his back yard. About 2 years ago he gave it to me for my birthday, as long as I got it started. I had installed new plugs and wires a year or so prior because I had hope he’d give it to me sooner but PATIENCE YOUNG GRASSHOPPER 😂😂 Anyway, I went to go see my parents and I wanted to take a crack at the Mercedes. Had all my tools, a battery for it, and all the appropriate parts. Took a lil bit but she cranked over. I was surprised. I didn’t think she was going to start but hey. Still running strong till this day 💪🏾💪🏾

Almost bought a used 4-speed manual (yes, 4) 200D back in 1992. Left it because it was, even for those days, so underpowered. Given the strict emission regulations now, this one is for the museum I'm afraid, or Africa :-) I do love the tank-like engineering on these older MB's though. They just refuse to stop running. The 200D was a 4 cylinder, the bigger engines had 5 or 6 cylinders, and made for that unique sound. This one has 283k on the odo, still in its childhood :-)

12 years ago i was learning to drive on it i have the exact same MB and its still working, but rust doing its job slowly eating the hull all mercedes-benz cars suffering from rust. Keeping it in a nice dry garage. Now driving new one W222.

@@DrumToTheBassWoop The mercedes has gone up with reliability .I know a lot of people with a mercedes and I also own one .The reliability is almost Toyota reliability . Mercedes has really stepped up their game . Bmw I would not really say its reliable but its sort of . If you buy a used mercedes .just buy one in good condition and I can guarantee it will last a long time and many miles . People think if a Audi is junk then they assume all German cars are junk even tough thats not true . Toyota has been trying to add more tech to the cars and Toyota is new to the luxury car world . Toyota may be less reliable than a German car in a couple of years .

@@apexseal2811 I doubt it really, after 16 years it's still high at the back, every w124 that has asd without niveauregulierung has two return lines to hydraulic container while only niveauregulierung cars have just one, although there are some rare occasions when the car has both systems. I looked to retrofit niveauregulierung on my 220E with asd and found out that retrofitting niveauregulierung on the car that has already asd is very easy but retrofitting asd on a niveauregulierung is very complicated.

Ivan novi Oh, good to know then. I thought the fluid reservoir next to the ABS was only for SLS. And yes, should sound strange that after 16 years the rear isn't sagging if it had SLS.

In countries that salt the roads in Winter, these can have severe rust problems. On mine, the rear internal wheel arches rusted through. The car was scrapped years ago.
