When I think of Mercs this is the one I think of. Back then they built quality, reliable, beautiful iconic cars. This should be a relatively easy project and it deserves it. I can't understand why previous owners would let this go and not fix it.👍

@@sudenns алеша, видео снято в Эстонии, а не в твоем мухосранске. Бензин сейчас 52руб/литр 92-го, без учета конского транспортного налога и стоимости запчастей. На тех же рейнджах часто ставят ГБО, потому что не по сеньке шапка с расходом 20+ литров на сотню. Российская классика- премиальный седан, стоящий памятником у хрущебы или изредка от нее отъезжающий.

Funnily enough you have a lot of cars on your channel that I can relate to. So is this one. I owned a 420 SEC 25 years ago. These 4.2 V8 were a nice ride though not very powerful, especially not by today's standards. This high revving at idle and warm engine is due to a bad mass airflow sensor we used to call "cigar" at the time. I traded mine when it needed some love that I lacked the financial means to afford at that time... a shame, I wish I had it back today.

There were two versions of the 4,2 l M116. The later one from 88 on had more hp. Its powerful enough imho. but of course, nothing compared to todays s-classes or even smaller cars.

Absolutely amazing, beautiful, timeless car. I hope that it will quickly find a buyer in some overseas, distant country, far from... Europe... In Europe, such classics, strong, durable and reliable cars are no longer valued, and no one in Europe can afford to buy such a car anymore ride...

@@maikelnait4495Yes, a hobby car... This Mercedes from the movie can still be driven, it can drive another million kilometers as a full-fledged car somewhere in a distant country. Where fuel prices are reasonable and there are no crazy restrictions on long-lasting engines.
