This car is in really good bodywork condition for its age and stop in the bushes. The engine started quickly and runs fine. You can still drive many kilometers with this car. I think it should sell quickly. We are waiting for the car next door to be brought back to life. Thank you for the video 👍

If one wants to use it for quite a while, he should take care of the rust that, as Neil Young would put it, "never sleeps". Especially the front left wing on the bottom and inside the boot at the rear. There's always a surprise when you remove the carpets.

As soon as I saw the seat covers, I thought - gotta have been a taxi, and sure enough there was a Taxi button on the dash that would have lit up the taxi sign that would have been on the roof. In the UK, loads of taxi drivers used those cars, very popular back in the 90s.

That looks quite a solid example, good engine type too. It is certainly fast. I have one of these but it's a 1.6. It still drives very well and is surprisingly torquey.

They weren't actually as underpowered as suggested. Your 1.6 has 75 hp at 6000 rpm or something, but when do you really rev so high? The torque around 2000 - 4000 rpm is much more important and there they were particularly powerful, right where you want it, combined with a weight just over a 1000 kg makes the 1.6 even suprisingly nippy and economical

This Opel, is in great condition, as they did like to rust. And have leaky trunks. I had the Vauxhall Cavalier which is basically the same car, and the rear arches and sills dissolved to nothing, sadly. It was a great car though. If that was a Fiat Panda, it was parked next to, I'd love to see a revival on that if possible. 👍

@@markomrako5844 Passat b3/4 is way more complicated than Vectra. Vento and Vectra A have same mechanic solutions and size. Passat b4 can be compared to Vectra B, but the A was way simple. And they had Omega that was merged with Vectra, in last generation.

Unfortunately, they were very biodegradable. I think that's the main reason for their disappearance, as mechanically they were fairly well constructed. Similar story as for older japanese cars, too.

@@Lobo2265 I still own a Mk4 Astra, which for the last 17 years has never been stored in a garage. There's barely any rust on it and the chassis only has surface rust. The same goes for 2 Vectra B owned by a relative of mine. I think more problematic are the Opels made after 2007-2009, when GM was cutting a little too many corners than it should have.

Except for body issues (rust) these 90’s Opel cars were made for eternity. 1,6 and 2,0 engines were extremely durable and sustainable, second only to Mercedes W123.

Этот автомобиль Вектра А по сути как машина времени ? У неё есть дуща. Сам владею такой Вектрой 1994 года, c20ne езжу на ней мало. Кстати она целиком еще в родной краске.Для Российской зимы печка очень слабая. Нужно что то делать. Замена радиатора отопителя ничего не дала. Всем удачи на дорогах и больше любви к олдтаймерам 😊
