The solar panels are a cool reminder, pun not intended. The number of different pipes and cables in your grounds are astonishing if not overwhelming. Ying and Yang kept together by humor and Dumpy. And then, the 'carefree person' can explain how it works as if he studied the manual most! My rabbi says that the essence of marriage is not that you leave each other alone but that you balance each other, so that each becomes less extreme.

You guys have this down to a science by now. You have created a cool Eco Homestead with the solar panels. I imagine the upfront expense is offset in about 5 years in utilities savings? Heat, electricity, well pump, radiant heat...all supplied by the various panels?

We 100% will! We're not finished yet so once we have it fully operational, we'll be able to tell you not only exactly how much it cost but how much energy we're saving. Right now we're looking at ~6 year full payback. So basically, after 6 years of operation, every joule of energy the system creates is entirely free!

We have had a Viessmann evac. tube hot water system for 10 years that works in conjunction with our boiler. I'm not really sure how branch proof they are. I see some tree removal in your future the first wind storm.

It will be free heating once it pays for itself which shouldn’t take too many years. Plus the province has grants (doesn’t cover the full cost) for alternative heating sources from using electric and oil, no idea if this is included but would be perfect solution - great idea

YOU WANT THOSE SPIDERS!!!!!!! I HAD 14 IN MY SMALL GARDEN. I saw an 80% decrease in GRASSHOPPER POPULATION. Those grasshoppers always eat the top of my flowers. Not this year because those spiders not only ate the hell out of them but the grasshoppers stayed in the grass away from my garden. I even ask people not to hurt them. I checked on them almost everyday. Can't wait to see how many I have next year!!!
