how come you use that style pan over the regular ones most people use?
@VoGusProspecting3 жыл бұрын
Going back over a year ago I got to try a Batea Pan. It is the single best pan on the market. I have had the opportunity to try a lot of gear and nothing comes close to the volume of dirt it can move at once, its gold recovery rate is better than a garret super sluice and the speed in which it can do it.
@damoplays41333 жыл бұрын
@@VoGusProspecting is it much harder to use given that it doesn't have any riffles??

@longbowshooter52913 жыл бұрын
I'll start off by admitting I've never used any pan, so I'm not claiming I'm an expert, but I DO understand why it would be a great pan once you learn how to use it. Consider it - gold being heavier than the dirt it will settle down into that dimple in the bottom of the pan, and the spinning water acts almost like a whirlpool, sucking the gold down, while the water's force walks the dirt and lighter material up the sides and out of the pan. I can see why he likes it, it would, as he says, move a lot of dirt out quickly.

Chris, will the trip in to this site and others you frequent allow for the use of a rickshaw 2 to 3 feet wide? you could make a light-weight one with two bicycle wheels and folding or telescoping handles. That would make it easy to carry a highbanker or sluice, even if it meant unpacking for a tight spot or slope. Speaking of folding, an old wheelchair could be modified for the purpose.

I was thinking, if you want to get heavy equipment back to that point, and being 40 minutes hike, perhaps you could get one of those garden carts with the pneumatic tyres from Bunnings. It might work unless the terrain is too uneven.
