I feel like as time goes on, people have forgotten that Solo wasn’t just dwarfed by Avengers 3, it was BURIED by Avengers3 , Deadpool 2, The Incredibles 2 and Jurassic World 2. If you look at the box office numbers for all of these, Solo was clearly the last choice for many people who only had budget to see 1 to 4 of these five films in the theater. This is not a knock against Solo, which is a top 4 or 5 Star Wars film for me.

I think some deleted scenes restored. For TFA, the scene where Leia advises her aide to speak to the New Republic for aide. For TLJ, Luke's third lesson prank he pulls on Rey. It's a great scene, and adds more to the story. For TROS...Probably the Eye of Webbish Bog. More of that Mustafar scene would be good.

Thankfully, I’ve been on a social media break, so I haven’t seen people meltdown over the Rey movie news but to me it’s much ado about nothing. Writers have been shifted in and out of projects since the dawn of film. This happened on Blockbusters in the 80s, 90s, 00s, 10s, etc. and it will always happen. The only difference now is that we have the internet and someone is always trying to get engagement. It ain’t that serious.

Q&A: Even though the show has been canceled, I have this question: Did Darth Plagueis create Mae and Osha? Or at least have a role in their creation? Mothers Anasseia and Koril were definitely hiding more than they let on about their creation. I also suspect that Plagueis was still apprentice to Darth Tenebrous at this time.
@seanmalloy05282 ай бұрын
I wouldn't be surprised
@lordfoul62592 ай бұрын
For me it could've gone either way either he helped the witches create Mae and Osha or he watched them do it and that's how he would've learned how to create life in canon
@FUNBadTime2 ай бұрын
While I enjoyed the show, my big hope was always that all its big mysteries would be wrapped up in its finale and that sadly didnt happen. It was a gamble for them to leave so many threads dangling for a second season, that now will never arrive. Now all people who said the story broke canon felt vindicated, instead of the show being able to present what story they were going for with Plagueis. Its clear as day that the writers didnt write what they did because they didnt know the prophecy of the chosen one or Plagueis or because they wanted to break the canon. Its the exact opposite, they wanted to explore and add to that part of the story, but now that will never happen and people wont have a sufficient explanation, because there now is no explanation.
@michaelkaduck19152 ай бұрын
@@FUNBadTime Yeah, it's too bad. I have hope that we'll see that story continue, or at least be referenced in a novel. 2025 is the 20th Anniversary of Revenge of the Sith. A novel about Palpatine with Flashbacks to Plagueis would be a good way to connect those stories. I have a feeling Qimir was simply a puppet, a tool, much like Plagueis's brief rival, Darth Venamis.

i just hope they get into a successful "groove" again. back in the 2015 - 2020 era of star wars they were really good about releasing star wars content on a consistent schedule, movies, animated shows, video games, comics and novels were all things coming out very consistently and it was nice. in this post-tros / post-covid era of star wars though things have felt very inconsistent, where we really have no clue what projects are coming when and the quality is also very inconsistent.
@scottn20462 ай бұрын
I'll put a different spin on this, pretty much every Disney era Star Wars film, except the Last Jedi, went into production before the script was really up to scratch. At one end of the spectrum they were able to save Rogue One in the reshoots, at the other Rise of Skywalker really suffered from a rushed script. I see it is good news that they're not rushing this into production and they willing to take the time to get the script just right. My guess is Steven Knight's contract always had an exit date linked to the Peaky Blinders movie - the script for the Rey movie has gone through multiple drafts but it's still not quite there but everyone accepts that Knight is taking his agreed exit date. Another writer can take over the polishing, and maybe a fresh set of eyes can help with that, probably even hire someone with the skills match what's needed with the script - that's kind of what happened with Tony Gilroy on Rogue One, but only after the reshoots. I'll also throw in how little leaks actually seem to come out of Lucasfilm, so much of the media hype is the usual suspects jumping on crumbs and spinning them to their own narrative.

Remember when the premier episode of the much-maliigned season three debuted? The viewership was a tick down from season two's premiere and all of the pundits ran with it. Ooh, the bloom is off the rose. Meanwhile, like the previous two seasons, it ended up being the #1 show in the world that year, with very little viewership drop-off. Point being, Mando is still huge, and the gap between S3 and M&G will be quite a bit of time. As long as they resist the urge to put Grogu in something, they get the opportunity to build demand.. As far as scope, Jon Favreau is directing. Not only does he know how to make a large scale movie in general, he's done it with Mando! "The Marshall" IMO is the most cinematic episode by a mile. And, by the time it is released, they will have been working on it for the better part of two years. More than enough time to give this a big flick feel. Of course, It all depends on whether it's any good. But, I think this movie has the potential to be massive, and it absolutely should be the first movie back. It's the right choice.

I was hoping they would take their time whilst in production,not with getting started on it… If they begin in 2025 I hope the movie gets pushed back for a 2027-28 release,2026 sounds like way too little time for them to get something solid out. That being said I hope their focus is to deliver the craziest,most quality pilled movie. The Rey character really needs this to be a hit.

Oh, I'm sorry you guys have had unpleasant cinema experiences as of late with rude or noisy people - its not like that universally, my local cinema is still a nice community experience where everyone watches the film respectfully. Admittedly, I haven't been to any huge blockbuster releases in a while, but even then, when I have been to films like that, disturbances are very rare. I'm guessing it might be more of a city vs. suburban town vs. rural town etc. kind of thing rather than a pre-lockdown vs. post-lockdown thing. Hoping you two can find a quieter venue for your movie-going experiences - cinemas should be a place to enjoy the medium of film. 🤞

There is a limit about being THAT positive. I know that you like to show some good vibes but come on... you guys are completely delusional or in denial on this and are actually telling completely wrong information on how a movie production works. A Writer departing a production just mean creative differences, he lets his work for another writer to work on. The Writing is NOT over at all. So Firstly : it means that yes, the vision of the production on it is still not clear, and Secondly: It means that it will be rework. Do you really imagine a writer wanting to depart a production like star wars just because of "i don't have time". The guy can stay on the writing even if he is working on other show... The lack of communication on this is already pointing that this movie have difficulties on the production. In any case I hope that the final product will be worth the work and the waiting and that we won't be in a Episode VII situation or IX where there are rushed to release the movie. And of course that this it "not a good sign". The script is not finish at all, and the next guy will rework on it either using it as a basis or throw it away.

They've got to give Favreau and Filoni the keys. Those 2 working together are clearly a creative force to be reckoned with, and with Dave's direct tutelage under Lucas, I think it would be a much brighter future. Another problem Star Wars is experiencing at the moment is the approach to the different eras of the universe. They are trying to do everything at once; Original Trilogy stuff, Sequel stuff, and High-Republic stuff, all at the same time. It's little wonder things are such jumbled mess when they've spread out the story group so thinly between everything.
