Joachim Strzelecki 2551977 is where the Rebel’s established a base following Hoth, just before the battle of Endor. It’s not where the dogfight between Ciena’s TIEs and Corona Squadron fought. That was another location. Your fact about the date and the planet’s unnamed designation however is still accurate

Lucas Film needs to do more with the characters from Lost Stars, hopefully they haven’t forgotten about them, this is just a great book that strands the original trilogy but makes it feel fresh and new but very familiar.

There's a planet in the book given a number instead of a name, and the number is the date that Star Wars was first released in theaters. I'm surprised you guys didn't pick up on it. Great video though

This is still one of the best Star Wars novels I have ever read. And that is saying a lot since I've been reading Star Wars novels for 15 years. One of the very few pieces of Star Wars media that actually humanizes The Empire. Like what EA Battlefront II promised it was going to do but then chickened out of.

*Another fun fact:* I can't remember who said it, it was either Thane or Ciena, but they went to an unnamed system. It was called 5251977 - which is May 25, 1977 - the day A New Hope was released.

Rogue One showed the dark side of the Rebels while Lost Stars shows some of the sympathetic qualities of the empire. I love stories like that. Wish Lost Stars would be made into a film. Thane Kyrell and Ciena Ree are characters that are just begging to brought to life. I can practically imagine it already.

I completely agree! Especially, Lost Stars. Its main characters haven’t been represented on screen. It’s coming-of-age, and has a real organic relationship that develops; you really feel for Thane and Ciena. I think this Star Wars story is one, if not the most relatable story from a galaxy far, far away.

But more importantly, how do you pronounce Thane? At first I just went with a straightforward pronunciation, like “Thayne”. But then I realized that usually names that begin with “Th” actually make a solid T sound, like Thomas, Thiago etc.. So maybe it should be Tayne? Or Tah-nay? Or Tahn?
