Plagueis remarked to him about other Sith, Malek, Gravid's apprentice, and even himself after a failed assassination that physical injury meant nothing to one's strength in the Force. But again, I don't really know how much I accept that with just how much flesh Vader lost on Mustafar.

If Disney was to make a Star Wars story on the period of time just a few years after revenge of the sith, and base it on Darth Vader’s struggle with depression and anger, I genuinely believe this is the perfect cinematic piece. Anyone can play Vader, Ian McDermott can be used for palpatine, Natalie Portman can still be used for flashbacks of Padme, Ewan mcgregor can be used for force visions of obi wan. This is my dream film, and this masterpiece brings me so much joy, and a little hope that this could happen one day.

Holy. Fuck. I was not expecting this to be THAT good. I was definitely thinking this could be a giant troll move, but you proved me wrong. I would say there are a couple things off, but they are minor (though I hope they are fixed by the next episode, which is for sure going to happen....someone with a bunch of money will totally bank roll the next episodes after seeing this....just wish I was rich enough to be that person), those issues are young Anakin: he looks and sounds nothing like Jake Lloyd, his hair isn't even the same. Same goes for Padme to a lesser extent. Both played their roles well, but it still took me out of it...but hey, in Solo, the actors playing Han and Lando pulled me out as well since they look/sound nothing like the characters they were playing, yet I still like Solo, so if Lucasfilm gets a pass when it comes to making a movie about a character I could give two shits about, then you get a pass when making a movie about the best character in cinema ever. Also, Palpatine was a bit off. Mostly with his hood. It didn't flow right and revealed a biit too much of his face instead of relying on shadows. Likely an easy fix for future episodes. Again, not a huge deal, but Palpatine came off very fan-filmy. Those are the only issues I have with this, everything else was fucking perfect, but those issues are what keep it in fan film territory in terms of quality, IMO. Anyway, I have never donated to Patreon for your or any other channels, but I told myself if I was wrong about this fan film and you delivered on the promises you made, I would donate to yours. Soooo...when I get paid this week, you will be as well. Can't wait for the rest of the story!

The voices sound different, but I think the writing is in-character enough that it didn't bug me by the end. Only way to get perfect voices would be to reuse dialogue from the films, but that'd be taking away the creativity of the film. EDIT: This is the opinion after watching one time. I expect to enjoy the film more after rewatching.

I think this is better than the Maul fan film, because it has a real story and it's not just combat with flashing lightsabers and stuff. You can really see the fealings of Vader, you can see the anger and the sadness. The effects are really great and could hold up with some higher budget Disney movie. I think what makes this so great, is that it's made by a fan of Star Wars who knows what the community wants. Overall this is great, it had some flaws but thats expected by a fan film. The fact, that people like this more than a Star Wars movie made by Disney with millions of Dollars to use is just impressive. Great Fan Film, hope to see more of it.

I had the same feeling when I was about to see this first time. Doubt. But damn, dude proved himself worthy! It's despicable what Disney is doing. Imagine how much fans would have been pleased if Star Wars YT-channel would have just left comment which said "Hey! This was very cool! It's fantastic to have such a devotion among the fans!" or something like that. Instead their brilliant business plan is to steal revenue from the fan-video. This is STILL better than Acolyte, Mando Season 3, and Kenobi combined. Better production, better soundtrack, better CGI and effects. Holy crap, this shows they waste hundreds of millions for a crappy show, yet this show was made for WAY less, pennies on the dollar, and it is 10 times the skill of writing and producing and passion.
