I know the sound quality isn't as good as usual. That's because in this video I spoke with my normal voice and my microphone doesn't really pick up louder noises. I didn't want to be inauthentic and the sound isn't too bad (I think). I am going to buy a new microphone next week so this will hopefully be the last time I've got bad audio quality.

When you find one that you are genuinely happy to endorse no-one will have a problem with you saying so. Maybe a brand of microphone or headphones you like to use when recording/ researching? =))

I just found your channel recently and really like your approach and transparency. Also I enjoy the long-form videos. But the main reason I like your channel is your in-depth explanations of history that isn't completely eurocentric. I like being able to find a wide breadth of actual WORLD history in one place. Agreed, I've filled in the form honestly and the last question was a bit left field, not sure if it's a gdpr breach if it's anonymous, but a strange question nonetheless

I worked at a medical company once where all of us employees needed to go through the GDPR training. So it is in line with GDPR the way it was adopted in my country. The short answer: It's okay because it's anonymous, I won't share it with anyone, it's secured (nobody else has access to my account and you can't easily guess the password), and because I have people's permission because the question isn't mandatory to fill out. I do, however, have to delete the medical data ASAP. So I will close the survey in a few days, download the data, and delete the medical data from the online survey. I did ask for emails and if people gave me their email addresses I will keep those, but delete any data which could like it back to the other questions in their survey. Once the email addresses have served their purpose I will delete them as well. If there are any lawyers in the audience who can point out a flaw in all of this then please do so. I don't want to be breaking any laws here.

@@PsneakyPseudonym I am going to do a video about autism at some point. the problem is that I can't use my own experiences as each autist has different ones. I also only have 1 type of autism while there are 5. So I want to get people to share their experiences and point out things I got wrong, so it's as accurate as possible. Most sources atm are either from parents or medical professionals, I want to offer the autistic perspective from autistic people.

I didn't get to say this in the survey but: I would suggest doing video series on the same topic, and adding that to a single playlist that can be searched for, similar to Extra Credits. It works really well and means you can cover a topic in as much depth as you like without wild video length variability throwing the algorithm off.

I wasn't profitable enough, basically. It's a marketing company and they couldn't sell animation videos to their clients and so my salary couldn't be paid. It was a small business with only 4 other people. So they had to choose between paying me or going bankrupt, basically. I understand the decision, I would have made the same decision.

Pssst... If you ever want to make easy views, then just make a some video about Finland. For example there are many videos about Finland that make a million views per video. Why? Because we the Finns like to watch a foreign videos about ourselves. It's kind of a national hobby. I know it's weird but thats how it is. Possible topics (and their problems): -Winter War (maybe too many vieos, bur it works every time, trust me) -Continuation War( mostly unknown outside of Finland, not sure about the information in English) -Civil war of 1918 ( maybe little bit controversial, depends ) -Finland becomming a Grand Ducy, part of Russia (unknown outside of Finland and maybe limited information in English, actually most of these topics are) -Finnish neutrality/policy in Cold War/ "Finlandization" -Some Swedish History like Crusades to Finland, the 30 years war, the Great Northern war, ect.

I know you need support but I would never say the phrase “Please give me money” that just doesn’t sit right. “Please support and any contribution is much appreciated” would’ve been better. Same goal just worded better

That was purposefully done. I mention in this bogey that I lost my job and some people might take that they should send me money because I'm doing poorly. I am going to make a video for patron specifically. Then I'll go into detail what the money will do. So I wanted to make sure that ONLY people who have money to spare will send money and only if they really want to.

I disagree. Maybe that's more effective in convincing people, but for me being direct sits way better. When people try to talk around stuff with pleasant phrasing, it just sounds a bit dishonest. That said, I am not the target of such sentences anyway, since I have no money to spare, so take that for what it's worth.
