The youths and working class in Taiwan are poor! It is generally the ones in the tech industry or have farmland or who own factories (mainly in China) that became rich in the last 30 years. As for the history of Taiwan, you totally skipped over the most juicy parts. Taiwan was an island inhabited by Chinese pirates, farmers and various indigenous tribes since the time Mongols conquered China. The Portuguese got the opportunity to colonise the island in 1624 when the pirate chief decided to retire back to the mainland at the end of the Ming dynasty. It was the pirate Zheng’s half Chinese-Japanese son Koxinga that drove the Portuguese out (along with the Spanish) 38 years later. After the Ming fell Taiwan came under Manchurian Qing dynasty rule and stayed that way until 1895. Taiwan was ceded to Japan as war reparations only because China lost the war to protect Manchuria and Korea from being colonised by Japan.

I really really hate shows like the dot the good doctor because first of all no he’s bad because he’s giving people a false and presenting of what autism is he is the most stereotypical autistic person I’ve ever seen in media and since salting that they think we’re like that.
