I am 3 months in my 2024 thunder grey. It is a pure sleeper car! I am getting 1,000 miles to a tank of gas!! I plug in every night and getting 48-53 miles of electric in New York weather to date. I don’t think you can get better seats or stereo elsewhere. No one wants a station wagon and was able to haggle between 3 Volvo dealers for a price. It’s faster than needs to be but it’s great taking other cars at lights!!!! No regrets turning in my 21 mach e

1,000 miles on a tank of gas so what??? You didn't figure the cost to plug it in Goober which is 50% cost of gas, compared to the $10,000 extra cost of the system, will take 500,000 miles to pay for itself. This is a car for idiots.

Have owned this car for a year now - the Polestar mode (gas and electric motors combined generates 455 hp) is a rocket ship. I came from a tesla and feel I gave very little up in terms of acceleration but picked up quite a bit wrt luxury and handling. You mentioned the Audi Avant which is twice as expensive. For the money, one would have a very hard time finding a sportier wagon to drive. And Do the Volvo overseas delivery program- it’s the best!

You literally described me! I WANT an Audi RS6 but it's WAY too expensive, but this catches my eye and is way more realistic. Ideally, I want something with a manual, but I've just decided I'll keep my G37 for as long as I can to check that box, so a sports station wagon like this would be a good compliment.

Exists in europe. We have the T6 version in the family, 400hp, but not close to as expensive. There is normal T8 aswell without polestar upgrades, 455hp and also a bit cheaper although probably not by much. Problem is americans are fixated one trucks and SUVs, wagons just don't sell like in europe

I’ve owned two V60 Polestars, and just traded a 2022 model for a 2025 model. Great cars! Since I like sporty handling, I buy wagons, since a low center of gravity is a big plus over a crossover or SUV. Another huge reason we like wagons is that my wife and I mountain bike twice weekly, and putting bikes on a roof rack is quick, easy, stable, and secure, since this wagon’s roof is nice and low. No step stool or ladder is necessary! I’ve had many rear mounted bike racks over the years too, which are ok, but there are too many downsides to me. It’s also much easier to mount and access a roof cargo box with a wagon.

why? can yoiu tell me a bit more? I really like this car but I'm also suspicious and hesistant about certain things..
@BobYeeterson3 ай бұрын
@danijelfirak6402 you lose alot of power when the electric battery is down and you have to wait hours for it to charge. The mild hybrid cars are ok, cuz they rely more on the engine and is charged while driving. but the plugin hybrids kinda suck imo.
@danijelfirak64023 ай бұрын
@@BobYeetersonthat's a good point, however doesn't this car also charge while breaking or whatever, and also I mostly need it for driving in a city on mostly short distances - kindergarten, school and things like that. Is there any serious downside for this car? Also, I probably wouldn't need it for more than 30 miles per week.
@BobYeeterson3 ай бұрын
@danijelfirak6402 im not sure about self charging, but as far as I know there are plugin hybrid cars cannot charge themselves, and if they do it takes very long and its not enough to fully charge it, hence the the reason to plug it in. In the city ig its not really a problem, but if you drive very long distances, running out of battery can be annoying. Also every few years you would have to replace the battery, which is just extra cost. There are not really any major downsides that I can think of, for me personally the major downside is the plugin hybrid part, but thats just my personal opinion. Also I really do like the car, Im just not a fan of plugin hybrids. All you have to know is your gonna wait for multiple hours to charge it and the car can lose power if the battery is flat, but dont worry, it will still be able to drive, the power will just be less. 30 miles is not that far, your most likely not gonna have any problems. Its long distances that can become a very big problem, because the electric motor is very short range. Im not sure if diesel cars are available where you live, but I would take a diesel car any day. Bmw has a diesel car (I think its called 320d) that can get 35-37 mpg (miles per gallon) and purely relies on a diesel engine instead of electric, so there are no worries of charging. I dont really like extra effort, I just want to throw in fuel and drive.

Nice car but personally I prefer the CC version. More practical and rugged. Polestar software upgrade gives you a decent sport mode and personally the CC is easily powerful enough for my needs, while having solid light off road capabilities. The display is criticized by some but personally I like it, easy to use and pretty intuitive. Long live the raised wagons 🫡
