Manufacturing is the production of products for use or sale, using labor and machines, tools, and chemical or biological processing or formulation. It is the essence of secondary industry. The term may refer to a range of human activity, from handicraft to high-tech, but is most commonly applied to industrial design, in which raw materials from primary industry are transformed into finished goods on a large scale. Such goods may be sold to other manufacturers for the production of other more complex products (such as aircraft, household appliances, furniture, sports equipment or automobiles), or distributed via the tertiary industry to end users and consumers (usually through wholesalers, who in turn sell to retailers, who then sell them to individual customers).

@@inyourphace1690 Not really. The value of China's exports pre-2000 level was not that huge as China only exported only soft products (plastic toys and wood-made products). But from year 2000 when Bill Clinton urged the US congress to accept China to WTO membership, it kick-started China’s economy and many western large companies including Japanese abd Korean manufacturers had since moved their manufacturing to China. m.kzbin.info/www/bejne/iX-Zn318jcirfc0 That's why the graph only showed China's entry from year 2000.

I know very well which country is leading in manufacturing. I recently read that China's manufacturing output was now equal to the US + EU combined. This didn't occur in the video as the timeline ended in December 2018. Given the trajectory of China, US, and EU, it is entirely reasonable in 2023, China is now equal to US+EU combined.

American always assume they are the big investor of China, yet in reality, Japanese investment in China are both longer and deeper, prime example of this is alibaba was funded by softbank of Japan. US really only started to buy Chinese product not because of WTO, but rather because GWB made a critical decision to introduce chinese product to reduce the cost of living in US in order to restore american confidence after 9/11 trauma. today we no longer remember how panicky american were in 2001...

@harshkumarsingh08

@Manju Bisht lmao get your facts updated. Let me do it for you here in the comment section. How many industries established by modi? Do you even know that industries are supposed to be started by industrialists and not governments? Even so, India became a mobile manufacturing hub under modi government. Before 2014 there were hardly any companies manufacturing or assembling Mobile phone in india, post 2014 almost all big companies have set up atleast an assembly plant here in India. Samsung has made the worlds largest mobile manufacturing plant in India. Under modi government the the manufacturing in India has become the highest. The PMI is at all time high, stock markets are at all time high, FDI is at all time high. Unemployment that you are talking about has been very extensively used by dumb leftists without having stats to present. Check CMIE reports extensively and you'll find that the unemployment rate has been lowest in 2018 and even now it has been normalised averaging around 6.5% . Unemployment goes up and down very regularly. It can't be constant given to the fact that it depends on a lot of factors. Now on to the development by modi, get ready to be destroyed by facts kid. 7 IITs, 7 IIMs, 14 IIITs, 2 NITs were opened only in first 4 years of Modi government. www.google.com/amp/s/factly.in/fact-checking-government-claims-on-higher-education/amp/ 7 AIIMS have been made by Modi government along with 7 more currently being developed. www.google.com/amp/s/www.livemint.com/news/india/several-iims-iits-and-other-institutes-opened-in-last-few-years-pm-modi/amp-11603091479233.html About infrastructure development, Modi Government's road and highways construction rate is almost 3 times more than the Congress government. www.google.com/url?sa=t&source=web&rct=j&url=www.livemint.com/Politics/JlYQVmRmRpu7ESTqPrkeoO/Infrastructure-in-four-years-of-Modi-govt-A-thumbs-up-for-b.html%3Ffacet%3Damp&ved=2ahUKEwjy9LXc0ZvtAhUWxDgGHTOBAnIQFjAKegQIBhAB&usg=AOvVaw0IHq2SkIu-eCOcV-bypJe9&ampcf=1 I can destroy you at every point you make against Modi government and I have facts and figures to back myself up. You're just a less informed wanna be intellectual who doesn't research before talking BS on social media. Rather than spreading fake propaganda, try to research a bit about what all the government has been doing. Don't make a clown out of yourself in front of everyone.

Manufacturing is what makes a country strong. As manufacturing declines, so does the country. The only way to bring back a strong United States is to relax our oppressive environmental and labor laws that inhibit the growth of manufacturing.
