My dad died the day after you posted this song, but I only just found it on Instagram. It's hitting pretty hard. Chorus feels like I'm begging him not to leave me behind. I love remembering all the good times. Thank you for this gem.

I am a loving dad to 3 beautiful children who I have to leave regularly due to working in the Oil & Gas sector... mostly on oil rigs... And this song is just... there are no words to describe the hurt, the pain, the love, the beauty in what we do to provide for our kids and give them a better life than we had ourselves. Its hard to write comments like this with tears streaming out of my eyeballs. But thank you so much. ❤

This song hits too hard right now. Dad to one beautiful 4 year old boy, and currently deployed away from him and there is nothing that can describe the daily struggle of being away feeling guilty and also providing and setting an example to my little boy! So glad I found this on Instagram, thank you! Hope it goes to Spotify soon ❤

I've been struggling with my career a lot recently but it has been one I chose specifically to allow me to work from home as much as possible to be as close to my daughter as I can. I also found your video on IG and had to hunt this full thing down. I am on my second watch in tears. This is becoming an incredibly inspiring release of energy that is putting me back in touch with why I took this route and how proud I am to give ad much time as I can to my family. I want to thank you for writing this song and giving such a touching performance. You have given me a gift today and it isn't often I find these moments in my life. Thank you.

I HATE that this song applies to me... my son is 3 in 4 months... my job requires me to work away from home for weeks on end. I LOVE this song because it is what has fired me up to make changes... i am so tired of struggling with the contemplation of weather or not what i am doing is worth it. I wrote this song in my head since the day my son was born... hearing it has confirmed i need to make changes... i put in my notice 2 days ago. Thank you for being an amazing father and opening my eyes.

Keep your head up, dad. You’re doing the best you can for your son. Glad to hear you’re making changes to be more present in the future! We just wanna give our little ones all the time in the world. He will be thankful for your decision when he’s old enough to realize what all you’ve sacrificed for him.
