I feel so encouraged to hear you only celebrate 3% of the time. I’ve been eating 80/20 and haven’t been getting much results. I’m going to clean up my diet a bit. Thank you Tracy

Bam! Love it! I think the fact that your celebratory meals are not cut and dry just makes this message so much more practical and relatable! Goes back to what works for one doesn’t necessarily work for another. Thanks for sharing Tracy!

I used to eat my kids snacks. Realized that I’m better than Fruit Snacks and peanut butter cookies. It sounds foolish now to exceed my calories by eating stuff that I DO NOT EVEN LIKE!!!! Thank you for this!

It is because of you and your workshops that I am now in my weight window. I have found that a clean diet is for me with out having the problem of over eating. Which is hard to over eat on this diet. And this is a house full of SAD foods too. I honestly desire to just eat a yummy steak at restaurants and nothing else. Clean eating also keeps my coughing (asthma) at bay which was created from the SAD diet. I find it oddly satisfying to pick out my clothes for the next day. Like you said all my clothes fit and this motivates me to eat the same way the next day. Thank you so much.

I worked for Weight Watchers for years after losing weight and understanding the importance of feeding your body for fuel. It was never about the points for me, it was always about the good old food pyramid and what foods were going to give me the most energy for what my body needed. No pain, no gain. I’m out of my weight window currently, for a myriad of reasons, but I know how to do it, and it definitely is a mindset! I can appreciate choosing your hard! Thanks for the message!

You are very disciplined and that is not everyone’s strength, unfortunately. However, everyone can improve their lives and change their habits. Thank you very much for creating and sharing inspirational content that we all can benefit from. God bless. 💜✝️

Thank you for the lovely message, and wishing God's blessing on me. I hope the same for you. We are all disciplined! It's not a superpower or strength some are blessed with, while others are not. It's a matter of 'where' one is disciplined; does where you are disciplined serving you are not. Anyone can improve their lives by being disciplined in the area that serves them best.

I also have a weight window and eating plan very similar to yours, but instead of “celebratory meal”, I call it a “treat meal”. Years ago, I decided that I would not buy larger clothing sizes because my clothing keeps me in check; I like to say that my clothing is my scale. If I can’t fit my clothes, I don’t need to buy new clothes, I need to lose weight. Too many times, women change clothes (ie buy bigger sizes) in order to accommodate their bodies, instead of doing the opposite: changing their body to accommodate their clothing.

Tracy, I love your coaching and am now on Instagram so that I can follow you there. (Only you, as I limit my social media.) As for the weight window I have had a 3lb weight window for decades (125-128). I also have only size clothing, which of course I have had for decades. I don’t want to spend money on clothing of another size as that thought just irritates me 😂. Once again, thank you 😊❤

Great info! Do you have tips for managing clothing when one is actively losing weight and therefore in between sizes?
@TracyHensel Жыл бұрын
Thank you. Yes, I do provide support in that area. I cover a lot of weight management history before deciding what ROI the client would get from making purchases. Everyone's situation is different. As a coach, I need to bring awareness around tendencies and history. Most people would say they are 'actively' losing weight, but few achieve that goal.

I love the example of your friend’s celebratory meals vs. your own. Bottom line-the calorie intake has to be managed! So many people operate under the illusion that they can eat whatever they want whenever they want, and they are so surprised when they continue to gain weight.
@TracyHensel Жыл бұрын
Amen! There is also the trend to blame it on menopause. Once again, not taking any accountability for one's choices. Once I get my clients to take responsibility, the transformation begins. The longer they play victim, the longer they wait for those results. Thanks for sharing!
@LadyVioIa Жыл бұрын
@@TracyHensel Tracy, I just love your no nonsense attitude for holding people accountable. Although I’ve always maintained my weight through diet and exercise, after hearing many older women lament that menopause makes it nearly impossible to maintain a healthy weight, I’ve become a tad concerned with how it may affect me in the future (I’m 43). However, hearing you say here that it’s a matter of responsibility and basic discipline relieves me quite a bit!

It's hard be on the plan as we age, because we feel less motivated to look good. Only health is a little bigger motivator.

Oh, how I would love to. I did lick the bowl and beaters growing up, but then I had kids, a husband, and grandkids. They now get the pleasure. My favorite, Banana Bread Batter, is heavenly!

Do you ever plan on adjusting your weight window higher later in life? Or will you keep it the same? Thanks for sharing this video! 😊
@TracyHensel Жыл бұрын
Great question, Megan. I hope to keep my weight window where it is, and intend to make that my goal through my 50's, but I know as women get into their elderly years they often lose weight. I hope that's not the case for me. I honestly hope to never have to spend money on clothes ever again. My life priorities have changed and what brings me pleasure and where I prefer to spend my money is certainly not on clothing.
